Chapter 4 - The lads get even!

(Alex's POV)

"She wrecked my car!!! The cow wrecked my new car!!!" Nikolaos fumed beside me as I contemplated what to do next. "It's that best friend of hers that did it!!! She will pay for it that's for sure. I like fiery women, they're the ones who make life fun trying to tame them. Can I have her Alexander??"

I wasn't paying attention to what Nikolaos was blathering on about this time until he asked me a question that I didn't even catch. "What was the question?"

"Can I have the best friend? She seems amusing to me and not much amuses me lately." The latter of the sentence sounded slightly sad and I felt for Nikolaos because I felt the same tinge of sadness.

 Being as old as we were became tedious without something (or someone) to keep us amused. Not many people could do that for us lately... Especially not humans! Yet Rose, my future fiancée, fought me at every possible moment and I'd only known her a few hours. She'd even bested me twice in a row and that doesn't happen to me. Ever!! She'd wrecked my car and her best friend had wrecked Nikolaos' car and yet they still managed to escape us.

"Of course you can have her best friend. With the best friend under control, it might subdue her long enough until the wedding, where she will become my bride for eternity." As I thought what had slipped out of my mouth I realised it was true.

 I wanted to marry her.

I wanted to marry Rose!!

 She was different from all the others. They wanted to marry me and would never have dreamed of doing what she did then running AWAY from me. Normally the women ran TO me. She was an anomaly and I liked that.

Like Nikolaos I liked fiery people and she is what I needed. She would honour our marriage agreement because now I wanted her. I always get what I want.

"We find them. I want them found before tomorrow and then tomorrow we make ourselves known. No one has ever been able to escape us yet and these will be no different. We start looking now."

With a grin on his face, Nikolaos nodded and walked off to find out about the two women. I couldn't help grinning myself. I was coming for Rose and she didn't even know it.

(4 HOURS LATER)

 

"I found where they go to school but can't find where they live!! It's like they've frigging disappeared of the grid completely!!!" Nikolaos grumbled.
