Chapter 15

Dead Meat

Huffing, Julius glared at the impertinent stranger. You actually dared to hide yourself under a cleric's bed? What are you even trying to be, a bed monster? This f****** almost made him shit his under robes. "Come out!!!",Julius grits his teeth. He lost composure. After all, while he delve in his paranoia, this guy had the audacity to actually scare him. What a shameless fellow, are you not afraid of being arrested by the Achinuss household?

"We should arrive before midnight", the guy stated, completely unfazed even after crawling out someone else' bed. "You", Julius cannot believe it. Why is his patient, who is supposed to be  hiding obediently at home is here, hijacking his carriage? Also, this guy even casually included his self in the raid, as if it was only normal. "What are you thinking? This place is crawling with knights, the moment they see you, your dead", the cleric could only rub his temples in dismay. Why is this guy so quick in seeking death? "They won't catch me",he said confidently. But the cleric knew it was a bluff, what else can you do? I have already seen your most pathetic side, there's nothing more for you to show off.

"Your carriage is quite spacious",the man said, already deciding on leeching off on him. "So you've decided to stay here!?". The cleric was of course flabbergasted. Just were did this guy threw his dignity, aren't you being aloof before. Inspite of the priest's refusal, the man had already settled inside the carriage.

Meanwhile, Miira is in a murderous spree, viciously looking for a certain someone. The forest beside Julius's manor had been reduced into nothing, as the young girl indiscriminately hack and threw spells everywhere.

"I'll really beat that guy for sure!!", grumbling, Miira was enraged. Just before he disappeared, he promised that he'll only practice in the forest, and now, the twin cannot find him. "What should we do? Mr. Julius will definitely scold us!!!", Liira yell in frustration. What if Mr. Julius kick them out? If their useless they will definitely be thrown away. Miira sighed and patted her sister's head. Unlike Liira, Miira is more composed. "We'll be fine. I'm sure Mr. Julius is not that kind of person". Liira nodded, finally calming down. "But we still need to get that guy again". The twin then began searching, this time they will be more rough if they caught that lying guy again.

Hiss......

"Ah, Bellare! Quick help us catch that liar!! Can you track him?", the snake hiss in response, encircling the spot where the patient vanish. After a minute, the snake trail towards a rock tunnel, leading to a secret passage outside the manor. The twins followed the snake, determined in taking the guy back with them.

"Say Miira, isn't this path the same road that the Knights had taken in the morning? Liira wondered, as she follows her sister's back. "Um, did he followed Mr. Julius then?". Realization hits the two. "Arghh!!! Oh no", Liira screamed in horror. They're done for. If Mr. Julius really found out they let him follow the priest, Mr. Julius will think that they are useless. "That guy is dead meat!", Miira spouted in anger. "Liira hurry, we need to catch that guy!" the two ran off in haste.

While the twin spent their entire efforts trying to catch him, the said patient was busy leeching off the smooth ride inside Julius's carriage. Taking out his tools one by one, he seems to be unfazed despite the priest's glare. Julius is in a huge dillema. Why is this guy here? Right where an army of holy knights were escorting them. Did he desire to die that much? If so, please do it quitely alone! Don't drag innocent people in your suicidal tendencies. "By the way, I heard it was you who initiated this raid. Did you not know just how dangerous Silica is?", so he said, obviously looking down at the priest. For him, those who would enter Silica without any fear were all ignorant fools. "Yes. And it's none of your business", displeased, Julius shut him down. Who did he think he is? Why is this guy constantly talks at him with contempt? If you hated talking to me, then leave!

The man frowned, obviously dissatisfied with the way Julius' rebukes him. I am simply showing you not to die stupidly in vain, why are you being such an arrogant fool? Tssk, this is why priests' are all so....the man shake his head in dismay. Well, he'll just try to help this fool just this once, after that, they're even. His debt would be repaid by then.

The two sat in silence, completely in tuned with their disgust for each other.
