Chapter 2

"Anna there's a party this Friday , do you want to go?" Adam asked me as we were walking out of school. "Adam you know those parties aren't good at all." I said sighing as he continued begging. "Anna please?" He said dragging out the e. I sighed and said, "fine." He grinned and said "you're going to have fun I promise" Adam kissed me softly but quickly and intertwined our hands as we walked back to his car. He invited me to his house to watch a few movies for a bit. We got to his house and he let me walk in first. I walked in and he almost immediately picked me up. I giggled and hid my face. "aw Anna you're so cute!" He said laughing. I laughed and then we sat on the couch. he popped in a movie and he put his arm around me. I snuggled into his side and watched the movie. We watched a few more before I asked him if he could drive me back home. We drove back home and he dropped me off and kissed me goodbye.

I walked into the house and dropped my bag at the door. I walked into the kitchen and rummaged through and looked for food. I ended up finding some cookies.
I assumed I was alone at home so I walked upstairs and sat in my room. I went on my phone for a little. I heard the door open and close. At first it was quiet then it began getting louder. Then Ashton's laugh boomed through the house. It got quiet again then I heard whispers. I heard the stairs creak and I quietly but swiftly, crawled under the bed. I heard my door open and they walked into my room. Grayson and the other 4 went up to my window where I was near and stood there for a moment. I moved my hand silently and latched onto one of the boys' legs. They screeched and the one tried to get me to let go but I had a death grip. When they put their hand on mine to get me to let go I felt slight electricity. I quickly let go and got myself back up. "So, you guys thought about scaring me, huh?" I said laughing. They laughed including Luke who was looking at his feet.

Mum wasn't going to be home yet so we just all decided to hang out for a bit together in the basement. We talked about random things and every once in a while I would glance towards Luke and he would be looking at me. They were all talking but I was silently sitting there on the floor next to Michael. I was on my phone doing basically nothing. "Earth to Anna" Calum said laughing. "Hmm what?" I said leaving my thoughts."you zoned for quite a while, are you alright?" He asked me still grinning. I nodded and Michael asked "so are you going to that party on Friday?" Um, I don't know I probably might. Adam invited me but I honestly don't want to go." I said as I leaned my head on Gray. "well all of us are going you should definitely go." Ashton said smiling. "I'll go but I'm not planning on drinking. One of us needs to stay sober." I said laughing. I heard the door open and close again and I heard mum whistling.

"Hi Mum! How was work?" I asked as I went up the stairs. "Oh it was good sweetie! Hey can you let your brother know I have a business trip I have to go to in America? I know it's really far but it's an important meeting for the company" she said as she sighed and sat down. "How long are you gonna be gone?" I asked as I sat down next to her. e "'I'm going for 1 month. It may seem like a lot but it really isn't." She said putting her hand in mine. I smiled and looked at her hands and said "okay I'll let him know now." "Okay thank you dear! Do you want pizza for dinner? I'm leaving tomorrow morning by the way" she said quickly. "wait you're leaving tomorrow morning?" I asked a little surprised. "Yes I'm sorry I didn't let you know sooner. I promise I'll make it up to you!" She said smiling. I couldn't stay mad at my own mum. She was the one person I loved the most. "Okay I understand" I said as I got up and hugged her. "Thank you for understanding darling" she said as she hugged me back tightly. I quickly ran downstairs skipping the last step and almost falling on my face.

I waited for my face to impact the floor but it never did. I felt hands on my waist however. I opened my eyes slowly and saw Luke standing there awkwardly still holding my waist. I laughed nervously and got up on my feet. He chuckled and I said "thank you little one" he laughed and said "I would rather not talk Anna. You're 5'1" "He said laughing at the end. I blushed and playfully shoved him. "Grayson! Mum is going on a business trip for a month and she's leaving tomorrow morning." I said to him as I walked to him. "Wait really? 1 month? That's probably the longest shes ever been gone from the house!" He said completely surprised. I nodded and said "hey on the bright side, we get the house and the car for a month!" He smiled and said "true". "She also said we're having pizza for dinner" I said as I sat on the floor. "Ooo okay" he said.

After we ate pizza and all, Calum Ashton Michael and Luke went home. "Bye Mrs. Parker! Have a splendid night and business trip!" They said as they walked out the door. She waved and after that she went upstairs and finished packing her bags I'm guessing. She came back downstairs and said "well my children, it's 11:30 now. You guys should probably head to bed. I'll see you in a month! Keep the house clean and I left some money in Anna's drawer for food and any other emergency."'she said as we stood up and hugged her tightly. "Goodnight mum" Gray and I said in unison. I laughed and continued walking up the steps. I walked in my room and changed and flopped onto my bed and slept peacefully.
