One of the ways ASOUE could have ended, an ASOUE that's just not as unfortunate. Just one story, I will write about others later. Rated T (Violet B., Duncan Q.) (Kalus B., Isadora Q.), Quigley Q., Sunny B., Beatrice S.

For the sake of the story, Jacqueline retires from the V.F.D when she becomes the Ducches (Even though that make 0% sence according to ATWQ. Just a random thing, just to make it easier on everyone, I am calling Kit's baby Bea, just to have the distinction. Also, yes I know Violet is only 15 and can't legally adopt a baby, but Sunny is 3 and she could drive soooo. I call all of the Baudelaire's and Quagmires 'children' it's just easier that way. Last thing, sry about the lack of dialogue, I'm not very good at it. (By the way this chapter is a little OOC)

Lemony really messed this part up, he did not come back after he left the Baudelaires and Quagmires.

The Baudelaire's and Quagmires boarded a private plane, they were told that the plane ride would be long, like 18 hours long. There were 3 rows of two seats. And of course a captain. Who they were told was part of the V.F.D, but the children were too tired to meet him. Violet and Duncan were seated in the front row on the right. And once everyone was settled, they cuddled up and went to sleep. Violet was holding Bea in her arms but ended up just putting her in a basket next to Sunny. Sunny and Bea were in the next row, right behind Violet and Duncan. Sunny and Bea were almost 3 years apart, which made Sunny feel great that she was not the youngest anymore. Klaus and Izzie were in the last row, they were in a similar position to Duncan and Violet, but they could not get to sleep. They were talking softly about what happens next. On the front left, Quigley was sitting by himself. He was studying the maps of the areas they were going over. And taking notes. He did get up though to grab Bea when she started crying, he didn't want to have to wake up Violet, who happened to be snuggled up against his brother. Violet had officially been made Bea's adoptive mother by some judge in the V.F.D. Larry-your-waiter was sitting in the far back left of the plane. He was asleep.

Violets POV.

I was the first to wake up, I had slept for a good part of the 18 hour plane ride, but I did get up to go to the bathroom and to feed Bea from her bottle, which was hard, because she had fallen asleep in her basket next to Quigley. He had his arm wrapped around the basket. I decided that this was the perfect time to talk to Quigley about the kiss, even if I was nervous. I shook him awake, and he tiredly answered me with something like, 'duncan go back to bed.' I told him who I was and it snapped him out of his trance. I told him that I needed to feed Bea and he handed me to her. I just got right to the point.

"Quigley, I'm sorry I kissed you, you just look so much like your brother and...." He cut me off there

"Violet, It's fine. You're in love with my brother. And to be honest, he deserves a girl like you." He blushed and looked down when he said that last part.

"Thank you Quigley, and you know what, you will find someone too." I really meant this, Quigley was a good guy, and if he didn't have a slightly more handsome and smart brother, I might like him. He smiled at me and I walked back over to Duncan, who had just woken up. I was still holding Bea, but I leaned down and kissed him, then sat back in my seat.

"I just fed Bea, I'm surprised she didn't need to be fed earlier." I said

"Oh, she did, I fed her like 4-5 hours ago, but that is still very impressive for a baby." Duncan said, looking proud of himself, I couldn't help but blush, Duncan and I weren't even officially dating, and yet he was so perfect. He even knew how to feed Bea. I put Bea down in her basket next to me and leaned over to kiss Duncan. He pulled away.

"Look Violet, I know you kissed Quigley, but I just heard what you said to him and I realized that I have nothing to worry about, will you be my girlfriend." He said this really fast and nevosly.

"I would love to be your Girlfriend." and for this, he pulled me in a kiss, a really nice one. I could have even sworn I heard Quigley, Klaus and Izzie saying 'ooooooo'.

POV*

When the children and Larry (he asked them to stop calling him larry-your-waiter) arrived at the Duchess house, well more accurately, palace, they were almost jumping for joy. It was beautiful, There were paintings and statues and couches lining all of the walls. The children were all given their own rooms in the west wing. It was a weird wing that was like a rectangular cult-a-sac, Quigley's room was the first on the left, then Klaus, Duncan, Violet in the middle, then Bea, Izzie, and Sunny. To give you an idea of what the rooms look like; imagine you are walking down a west-facing hallway and you look straight down it, You will only see Violet's room. Also Quigley and Sunny's room are parallel to each other if that helps you visualize. Violet's room was the biggest because it was at the farthest end, and had a wall of windows, into the forest.

Jacqueline decided that they would attend home school, while this was not the most ideal choice, if the Baudelaires and Quagmires wanted to stay safe, then it was best to keep them out of public school. But, then again, homeschool was a great option for the children. Jacqueline hired 5 different tutors( yes I know this is a lot but :)) Klaus and Izzie shared one because they have similar english-based strong suits. Their tutor's name was Franklin. Sunny and Bea shared a tutor, who was more like a nanny tutor because when Violet was in class, someone had to watch those two. When Sunny was old enough, like 6, things had quieted down a bit for the Baudelaire's so they let her go to a private school that was only like 20 minutes away. But for now, they had a Nanny-Tutor named Sherry. Duncan had a retired Journalist as his tutor. His name was Ellington. Klaus had 2 'classes' with Ellington too, because a researcher also needs some journalistic input. Quigley had a multi-purpose tutor, because he had missed almost 2 years of school when he was on the run. His tutor though, did like Cartography, so that made it into some of his lessons. This tutors name was Wallace. Violet had a tutor named Albania, who helped build motors on airplanes before an accident that severed her arms. Violet focused her last 3 years of school on math and Inventing. But she already knew a lot, and a lot of her time was spent with either Bea, Sunny, or Duncan, so she didn't focus too much on school work. Before the children arrived Jaquline had already hired a Butler, his name was Salvador, but he liked the children to call him Sal.
