Uncanny Valley looked around and scanned the area for any signs of them. "There's nothing here!" Uncanny Valley reported.

Eagle pulled her phone out and dialled her mom's number. And quickly she soon realized that her mother wasn't answering.

"Uncanny Valley... did they tell you they were going anywhere else?" Eagle asked as she felt nervousness climbing up in her veins.

"Yes, they said they were going to the HQ. For a meeting." Uncanny Valley said, now remembering what their moms had said before they both went out.

"Let's go there then. Liiri, Wings of Liberty!" Eagle shouted, calling out her transformation.

The two heroes made it to the HQ or what's left of it. The power station above it was replaced by a huge crater, the building below was visible in ruins burning.

"A- Uncanny Valley... are you..." Eagle stuttered.

"Oh no, where is everyone?" Eagle asked, desperately looking around more as Uncanny Valley frantically repeats Jess's, Eagle's, action.

"Mother! Mom! Mom! MOM!" Uncanny Valley shouted.

"Mom!" Eagle called out desperately as she rummaged through the rubble, "No! No! Not like this! No!" Eagle remembered what she told her mother just hours ago. She can't go like that, not like that. Then she saw it, the cracked helmet of Knightowl, sitting right beside the flames.

"No" Eagle screams, holding back her tears as she stared at the helmet in shock and despair. "Who would do this?!"

Eagle tried, so hard, to process the situation, but Uncanny Valley's panicking was not helping. She then clutches her helmet and screamed louder for anyone in the city to hear.

"Mother! Please be alive... any of you." Uncanny Valley said as she scanned the area, but there were no signs of life, only debris, and destruction.

"No... No..." Eagle broke down as she cradles her mother's helmet, crying.

"Jess... there are no... life signs..." Uncanny Valley said stutteringly

"GRAHHH!" Eagle screamed again, starting to tear up.

"Eagle, it's okay, there could be an explanation!" Uncanny Valley said, clearly reading the room very well.

"An explanation!? Look around you! Look at... this!" Eagle held up her mother's helmet. "They had a meeting here... and... and..."

"Maybe they escaped?" asked Uncanny Valley.

"HOW!? THE BASE IS LITERALLY GONE!" Eagle yelled in rage, before breaking down again, kneeling on the charred ground.

"Jess... we need to go home first... it's not safe here..." Uncanny Valley said worryingly.

"No... No..." Eagle muttered as she heard vehicles stopping above them and footsteps.

"Eagle, come on, we have to go!" Uncanny Valley heard the footsteps growing closer to them. "Whoever is up there is approaching! Fast!"

"No... " Eagle was overwhelmed with grief.

Aeon looked around she knew that they had to leave. Who knows who these people were? She quickly grabbed Jessica and flew up the crater and away from the place.
