Aayushi's POV :-

Both of us entered into the apartment, me stumbling up on although I clearly know that I didn't consume that much of alcohol.

And am not even usually clumsy.

So as usual maybe something is actually wrong with me.

Because I swear I am so not drunk.

"Whoa whoa whoa... hold on there Yushi." I heard his voice calling out to me and the next thing I know he had his arms around my waist pulling me closer.

I frowned and looked at him.

"Yeah yeah go ahead and take advantage of me"

He rolled his eyes at that. "Yeah like I've never handled you drunk before" he said and I thought back to years back when I got drunk for the first time when I was in school and how he took care of me. I felt a smile tugging my lips upward.

"Yeah ?" I asked as if I wasn't sure that he actually took care of me.

He stopped lookin at me with wide eyes. "What ? You forgot ?" he asked like he couldn't believe I forgot that part. It wasn't a really good night to remember, still I remember every single moment I've spent with him. But he clearly didn't need to know that.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed pushing him away from me. "As much as I want to, I did not forget it" I told him walking over to couch, and plopped myself on it with a thud.

I looked over at him and saw a smile playing at his lips while he walked over to me and sat there beside me.

We kept sitting in silence for some time, which wasn't really awkward.

I looked over at him and he was staring outside from the large windows. His cheeks puffed with air, and was scrunching his nose time to time. And I had no idea why I found that site hella cute, but for some reason I absolutely did.

Noticing my gaze he looked over at me and raised his eyebrows. In some other situation or maybe with someone else I would have looked away instantly but he was Amaan. The guy in whose bathroom I took a poop while he was out shouting over at me, for being late.

I raised my eyebrows at him as well.

"What ?" he asked and I shook my head and just kept looking at him.

I knew how much that made him uncomfortable when someone was staring at him that way.

He shifted uncomfortable breaking the eye contact and started looking around frantically. It proved I was correct and I almost felt so giddy that a giggle escaped from my throat.

His eyes snapped back to mine "You need mental help" he told me with a straight face and I laughed more loudly.

"How much did you drink exactly?" he asked and I pushed his shoulder away pouting.

"I am not drunk !" I exclaimed and he nodded with a serious look.

"Right...."

Ignoring him I kept my feet on the couch and then poked him with them.

"Hey ! Don't poke me with your dirty shoes" he said to me and I smirked.

"Then take them off"

"No"

"Please" I looked at him with a puppy dog look and he shook his head.

"Nah... not happening"

"Amaan..."

"Yushi..." I ignored the butterflies in my stomach when he called me by my nick name but I didn't correct him.

Yes I know that we weren't that close now. I know that we don't have any right to call each other by nick names anymore like we are besties. But still I didn't correct him. I didn't want to.
