"Hie Maasi !" I almost shrieked when she opened the door, and I jumped into her arms.

She laughed loudly, hugging me back, as I tightened my arms around her.

"Kaisa hai mera baccha ?" she asked pulling slightly away from my face, and I smiled so wide.

"Ek dum perfect" I told her "I missed you so much" I hugged her again and she chuckled.

"I missed you too. Love the haircut" she said in her 'I am a fashion designer' self tone.

Then she looked behind me and back at me as if to remind me something.

I looked back at Amaan standing at the doorway of the apartment his hands in his pocket, a small smile playing on his lips, and he looked at me a little bit uncomfortably.

"Oh, Maasi this is Amaan" I told her looking back at her, and her eyes went wide.

"Oh God, how did I not recognize you? You look so..." she trailed off, and Amaan laughed coming inside the apartment.

"Namaste Punita aunty" he said, and bent down to touch her feet, when she stopped him wide eyed.

"Do not make me feel old" she reprimanded him jokingly, and he laughed lightly again, hugging her, taking both her and me by surprise.

Amaan was a big hugger after all.

"How are you?" he asked her

"Both of you tell me" she asked as she gestured to herself and Amaan raised her eyebrows.

"I might just as well, let you adopt me" he said, looking impressed and Maasi hit his arm lightly. Once introduced, Amaan leaves no space to charm someone but in a very respectful manner. One of the thousand things I love about him.

"Come on in both of you" she said and closed the door behind us.

We walked inside the apartment, where I had lived, for 6 months, after mumma passed away.

"Ayaan is at school ?" I asked

"Yeah he'd be home by 2" as we all settled in the living room.

Both me and Amaan had decided to hit the mall today. Yesterday I was so tired, that after we had lunch, I napped till 7 pm. I was kind of annoyed at my own self to waste so much time just for napping, but my annoyed self vanished away when I opened my eyes to look at Amaan, peacefully sleeping beside me on his stomach, his hand wrapped around my pinky like a little kid, his mouth slightly open.

You just cannot find yourself to be annoyed by anything after seeing that sight. I just as well, melted like ice outside fridge there. After he had woken up, we just wandered around the neighborhood mostly. Both of us got a haircut, and window-shopped. I never thought window shopping can ever interest a man, but it did interest Amaan. Or at least that's what I thought, but when I spoke my mind to him, he said that anything that involved me interests him.

When I had made a face telling him how cheesy he's being, he looked so embarrassed, and that made me laugh out loud.

And when were back at home, around 9:30 pm, we ordered dinner, started a spooky movie, and made out a lot.

And as I had wished, I fell asleep in his arms, at the couch, but I had woken up in the spare bedroom, while Amaan was still asleep in his old bedroom.

And after breakfast, we had decided to go to the mall nearby, as some of our old friends from school, were still in Mumbai and they had invited me and Amaan to a house party.

And to say the least, I was anxious. Last time we went to a party together, it ended up in an argument, if not a fight. And I didn't want to spoil one second of my time by arguing with him. But Amaan looked excited, although he sensed my discomfort.
