As we exited the club together, Amaan tossed me the car keys and they fell on the ground and I looked at him confused.

"What ?" he asked walking ahead

"What ?" I asked back.

"You're driving"

"Whyyyy?" I whined.

"Because I'm drunk"

"You had like.. one beer an hour ago"

"I still consumed alcohol"

"Amaan !"

"You're driving Yushi. Please" he gave me that puppy dog look with a little pout and I huffed.

"Ha ! It's so good to have your girl friend whipped for you" he said laughing and when I turned around glaring at him, he made a motion of keeping a finger on his lips and raised his hands.

Picking up the keys I walked towards the parking lot, when he followed me.

"Are you mad ?" he asked, and I fought a smile but thought of not replying just to see rile him up.

He walked faster, bringing his arms around me from behind when I looked around fearing someone would see us like this, and kick us out.

"Amaan !"

"Mhm" he replied nuzzling his nose at the top of my head.

"Stop acting like you're drunk. I know you barely get tipsy even after consuming 3 beers in a row, and I can't even smell alcohol on your breath anymore"

"Okay fine. I am not. I just need a reason to act childishly for a while" he murmurs and I stop, turning around in his arms looking up at him.

I searched his eyes but he had such a guarded look on his face that it was hard to find whatever he was feeling. He had been the same since before leaving for the club he had decided to answer his mom's call. I knew instantly when he came out of his room that something did not go well. But he had smiled and kissed me before I could even ask something, and said that everything was good. And she didn't even force him to keep talking like every time and was in a good mood. I didn't buy it, but didn't push it too. My focus more was on to change his mood for the better. We were to leave to see our old friends from school in the club. The ones who were in Mumbai anyway. And it worked. Amaan did loosen up, and enjoyed. Our former friends squealed and gave us lectures about how they knew me and him were going to end up together anyway 'cause we are soulmates and what not.

Now that, that had gone well, it was time for us to call it a night. And once again, I was able to see what he was trying or not trying to do.

I bring my hand up stroking his jaw. "You don't need a reason to act childishly in front of me" I tell him in a small voice as I feel his arms tighten around me.

When I look into his eyes again, they had shifted from being guarded to being I don't know what. I couldn't figure out. But whatever it was he was thinking, it was intense. So intense I could feel his gaze burning me. Before I could ask out loud he had pulled me more closer.

"I want to kiss you so bad right now"

My heart thudded at his bluntness even though it wasn't the first time he had said something like that. There was just something so intimate about standing in an empty dark parking lot, fearing someone would see you, but not caring at the same too, because you're in the arms of the person who would go lengths to protect you. Because you're with the person who you trust with your everything. Because nothing anyone says would matters when I am with him. Because I'm with the person I'm so insanely in love with.
