L's pov
Light had guided me through the city holding me from behind after telling me I had to close my eyes. "Remember no peeking L," Light said teasing me. I frowned
"Light I'm placing my life and many others into your hands, please don't lead me into oncoming traffic," I said in a serious tone. Light stopped us, coming in front of me placing his hands over my eyes.
"L why would I do that? To someone that is as important and as adorable as you," Light answered kissing me which made me jump.
"Jumpy aren't we," Light commented laughing. ASS. Light came around me to the back of me placing his hands back on my shoulders. "Like what could I do oh A CAR," Light shouted making me back up into him frantically making him laugh even harder, my frown increased.
"That wasn't funny Light-San," I said.
"Ha I love how every time I say or do something that you don't approve of or that makes you embarrassed, you add the San to my name how cruel," Light commented.
"San is used as a form of respect Light-San," I claimed.
"Yes but you're using it as a person would use it to someone unfamiliar," Light said putting his head on my shoulder most likely pouting (Which made me laugh at the thought.)
We had been walking a while until we had what I thought to be our destination. "Keep your eyes closed a little longer I'll tell you when to open them," Light whispered before placing my hand on a cold metal object to balance on if I felt disorientated. I wonder what Light has to surprise me with. I heard slight movement and clicking noises. What in the world is he doing? I thought hearing him sigh.
"Everything is how I expected it to be I'm quite surprised I had some friends preserve it," Light commented stirring my interest further.
"And what is "it" exactly Light," I asked more curious than ever.
"You'll have to wait and see," Light said humming to himself. What an ass! Teasing me like this I thought smiling at where the noise came from which I presumed was the younger detective.
After a further few minutes of ruffling Light seemed to walk back to me, placing his warm hands over my eyes "Okay stand here," Light said placing his arm in front of me to signal for me to walk forward. I took a few steps, the suspension almost killing me.
"You may open your eyes now L," Light said quietly in my ear placing his hands on the back of my waist. I opened my eyes and what I saw shocked me.
I gasped at the beautiful scenery, we were in a park that held candles around the area. The candles created a warm orange glow and that also produced amazing shadows. A wooden table and benches stood in the centre. The centre held a table with red tableclothe that also had a single candle in the middle of it. The tree's that scattered behind the table had glowing lights around them creating a comforting feeling that also excited me. There was a light brown wooden basket on top of the table. The park included a swing set and besides it, there was a large jungle gym and at the top there held a blanket and two couch pillows on the flat platform.
"Light it's amazing how did you know to prepare this?" I asked puzzled.
"When I went to the bathroom in the cinema I called my friend to pack a basket. I told them exactly what I wanted and asked them to hide the basket underneath the bench for us, "Light said taking my hand and kissing it for the second time tonight making me feel warm and secure." It's beautiful but let's be careful to not drop any of the covered candles we don't want to start a fire,"
"No we don't," I laugh.
"I'm sure I read its illegal even starting fire hazards like this," he laughed which made me laugh a little also.
