Kanato hugged my arm and asked if I was nervous about attending school. Typically trying to lie to my brothers didn't work and vice versa, but I couldn't help but try to be brave in front of them.
"No. I'm alright."
Just before stepping into the limo, I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. I was the first one in so I took the seat furthest from the door. Reiji followed behind and sat to my left, then Shuu to my right, then Laito, Kanato, Subaru, and Ayato was last.
Reiji tapped on the divider behind him, letting the familiar driving know we were ready to go.
I felt someone's eyes on me and noticed Laito was looking intently in my direction.
"Laito-nii, stop staring at me. It's embarrassing."
"Mmm I can't help it. Your uniform is very flattering, Haru-chan." His green eyes scanned me up and down. I tried to redirect his attention.
"Then you should be complimenting Kanato-nii and Teddy. They're the ones who worked so hard on it."
Kanato bounced his Teddy in his lap with a bit of an eery smile. "You hear that Teddy? Haru is pleased with our work." I couldn't help but smile at my dear Kanato.
"Neh Teddy, I wonder if Haru is considering us to be her mate."
The sudden reference to that subject threw me off and I felt my cheeks grow hot. "K-Kanato... that's not-"
"As if she'd choose you, Hysteric!"
Oh Ayato...
Ayato started picking on Kanato with Laito encouraging them as always.
"Would you all shut up?!" Subaru tried in his own way to calm them down but usually this only frustrated Ayato more. Before my red haired brother could retaliate, Reiji intervened.
"Enough. This is not the time or place to discuss Haruna's selection of a mate."
I relaxed in my seat next to Reiji and whispered, "thank you."
His left ungloved hand reached across to brush my hair behind my ear. The way he stared caused me to tense right back up. "Don't thank me just yet, Haruna."
I felt the muscular arm of Shuu grab my waist and pull me into his side. I noticed Reiji scowl before I became overwhelmed in the intoxicating smell of Shuu. Sage and citrus. He smelled delicious...
Shoot! I guess it has been quite a while since I've fed. I need to control myself. At least until after classes are over.
"Does it bother you to be so close to your onii-san?" Shuu's sapphire eyes always had a way of making me feel a bit weak.
I sat myself up and composed myself. "Of course not. But you shouldn't be so openly affectionate."
I felt his hot breath next to my right ear, "but I can be affectionate in private? I'll remember that."
