"Itai!"
"Ah sorry Nee-chan."
Kanato continued pinning the hem of Haruna's skirt for her school uniform until he noticed a bead of blood roll down the side of her knee.
"Oh I made you bleed."
Without hesitation Kanato leaned forward from where he crouched beside Haruna and licked up the drop of blood on the side of her leg.
A small squeak came from the white haired girl and she almost lost her balance from the stool beneath her.
With a whine she looked down at her brother and said, "Kanato-nii, you did that on purpose didn't you?"
The purple haired vampire seemed dazed for a moment before looking excitedly at Teddy who sat in a chair nearby. "Neh, Teddy, we were both wrong. She tastes like sweet pastry."
So he did prick me on purpose.
Ayato appeared directly behind Kanato with an annoyed expression and rubbed his fists against either side of Kanato's head.
"Don't touch what doesn't belong to you, Hysteric!"
Kanato whined in protest and produced crocodile tears in his child-like manner.
Watching the two bicker playfully with each other brought a small smile to Haruna's lips. As she watched Kanato and Ayato argue, she felt a tug at the back of her skirt.
"Ah my baby sister looks so adorable in her uniform! I can barely contain my excitement!" Laito sighed and touched his own reddened cheeks in his signature animated way.
"Why you..." Ayato turned his attention away from Kanato and toward the youngest of the triplets instead. Fists clenched and anger in his eyes, Ayato charged towards Laito only to be halted by that lyrical voice they had all come to recognize.
"Please don't fight. He didn't mean anything by it. Right, Laito-nii?" Her captivating golden eyes turned back towards her more mischievous older brother, hoping he would say anything that wouldn't taunt Ayato further.
"Of course not, Haru-chan! I wouldn't want to steal one drop of your innocence..." He slowly inched towards the door leading out of Kanato's sewing room. And just before dashing out he added, "I plan on taking all of your innocence later on."
Haruna felt mortified and also worried about Ayato's reaction. In an instant Ayato too dashed from the room and gave chase to that devilish Laito, yelling obscenities and threats all the way.
Haruna sighed and looked down at Kanato who seemed completely unfazed by the others' antics and only kept diligently working on the hem of her new school uniform. Seeing him so focused made her incredibly happy.
Kanato has so many passions and is so talented. I want to be more like him.
"Done."
"Already? You're amazing, Kanato-nii!"
Haruna stepped down from the stool and spun gracefully, her long white hair flowing around her as she did. Watching her, Kanato felt as he often did; he wanted to be her prince and protect that smile for eternity.
Before he could do anything to hide it, a yawn snuck up on the purple haired man. His eyes opened back up to see his beautiful sister kneeling next to him.
"You still haven't slept, have you?"
"We slept enough, didn't we, Teddy?" He looked toward his beloved stuffed bear who was sitting in a chair close by.
Her golden eyes were filled with concern for her brother. She had come to understand each of them fairly well, possibly better than they truly understood themselves. Haruna was very perceptive and knew Kanato suffered greatly from nightmares and night terrors even though he had not yet confessed this to her.
