Haruna slowly felt the weight of sleep slip away.
Before opening her eyes she wiggled her toes and moved her legs back and forth under the sheets to take in their incredible softness. She rolled over from her back to her right side and grabbed one of the several pillows on her bed. Nuzzling her face into the pillow, she smiled and sighed contentedly.
The pillows are so soft too.
An overwhelming sense of gratitude filled her up. She was living in her family home rather than a tower on the outskirts of the property. She had her very own room with furniture and amenities of such quality that it made her feel like a princess. And her brothers were finally closer to her than they had ever been.
She had never before felt such joy in her life.
I wonder if the others are awake yet.
She slipped out of the bed and looked down at the lavender colored night gown she had put on just before bed earlier that morning.
It had an empire waistline with a long ribbon that tied into a bow behind her. The gown was long and reached down to her calves and while her collar bone was exposed, the sleeves were nice and long to cover her arms. It was perfect for her.
Barefooted and smiling, she poked her head out of her bedroom door and peaked each way down the hall that seemed to go on and on.
She slipped out, gently shutting the door behind her, and chose to go to the left. The carpet felt good between her toes as she creeped slowly down the hall. Not knowing where she was headed and not knowing who she may find first, Haruna was giddy at the idea of surprising her brothers.
She turned another corner and smiled brightly at what she saw. There was Laito, walking down the hall alone. He hadn't seemed to notice her presence and he continued down the hall away from Haruna, one hand casually stuffed into his pocket.
Haruna moved oh so quickly to sneak up behind him and pounce. She was getting so close when he abruptly veered to the right into another room.
Not thinking anything of it, she followed in that direction. As she approached the door to this new room, she took a deep breath in preparation.
Get ready Laito!
She burst through the door, her bare feet making a small 'plop' noise on the tiled floor. "Boo!"
Huh? Where did he go?
The room was entirely empty. It looked like a game room. There was darts and a card table and-
"Got you, Haru-chaaan!"
Laito grabbed her by her waist and lifted her high up in the air. Haruna squealed and laughed as her brother spun her around and around.
"Onii-san! Put me down!"
She could barely get this request out between laughs but she felt her small feet meet the cool tiles once more. Before she could recover from such excitement, Laito snatched her into a big huge and affectionately nuzzled his face into her neck.
"I'm so happy my Haru came to visit me first today!"
He backed away from her but only a little. His hands continued to rest on her waist as he scanned her body. Haruna began feeling a bit uncomfortable which became evident from the pinkness of her cheeks. His eyes looked... hungry.
