Y/n POV:
It was the peak of spring and the sun bombarded me in light as I woke up. Getting dressed , I looked out my window. It's a nice day I should go out. Stretching my limbs I wandered into the kitchen greeted by the sight of my roommate cooking."Morning sleeping beauty." He teased. Looking towards my clock I noticed it was only eight.
"I'm not up that late, you're just a morning person my little house husband." I teased back.
"Just the way sensei taught me I suppose." My eyes widened started by the surprisingly honest answer.
"Nothing wrong with that. How about after we eat we go somewhere fun."
"Like where?" He asked sarcastically his mouth forming an uninterested sneer. His wolffish attitude still is around huh?
"Like how about somewhere only we know?"
I smiled hoping it peak his interest. He merely laughed and nodded. Taking that as an acceptable answer I served my self some toast and juice, nibbling away at the bottom as I watched my friend ramble on about how his former sensei would wake him up at 5 sense he was little. It's somewhat charming when he rambled on. I caught myself thinking. What the hell? This dude is my roommate, the same dude he caught a hero and bled all over my carpet in the same night! How the hell is that charming?! My face suddenly flushed catching his attention."What now? Is it possible the little lamb has fallen for the wolf that wandered in to her feeding pen?" I nervously busted out with laughter no way in hell I'd give him the satisfaction.
"Not a snowballs chance in hell big guy! Now come on !" Grabbing a bag of candy in one hand and his own hand in the other I lead us out the door to a place. A place that only we know. My shoes clacking against the pavement was the only noise to break the deafening silence. Coming to a halt I stopped at a playground.
"A playground?" Garou unenthusiastically mused at the sight. Rolling my eyes I just pointed into a thicket of trees beside the playground.
"No, in there stupid." He merely nodded and followed me into the dense forest. The speckled lighting scattered amongst the forest floor. Warmth invading my sense in the spring sun.
"This is stupid."
"You're stupid, stupid." I retorted playfully earning a throaty chuckle from Garou. Eventually I arrived at the heart of the forest where Garou and I first met.
"Here we are." I smiled sitting down on the grass, the sound of a stream near by audibly sounded. Flowers waving in the wind around me. He gave me a quizzical look."This is where we met right?" I flushed slightly, surprised he remembered.
"Yeah. I wanted to have a real talk." I said in a serious tone as I ate some of the candy in the bag I held. He laying sitting beside.
"Weird. But okay." He replied curtly.
"I can rely on you right?" I asked testing the waters. Unsure how far I could continue the conversation.
"Yeah. There's no reason you have to not trust me." I laughed. Where do I even begin with him?
"I'm not used to trusting people, I can tell you're not either."
"What are you getting at?"
"Let me ask again why did you turn away from heroes?"
"They're too perfect. They never loose, and the monsters always take the blows. It's unfair and it disgusts me to the core."
"Is that all? No deeper meaning?" He shook his head but remained silent to my prying.
"Maybe...it's because you never had a hero. You silently wished for a savior to come rescue you but they never came." I stated bluntly but with well meaning intent. "I know I did." I continued eating as I waited for his reply.
"Maybe." He laughed breathily. Feeling brave I looked him in the eyes as my heart raced.
"What if I said you could rely on me, even just a little?" He was about to open his mouth but I quickly interrupted, "not as a savior, I know you can protect yourself. But as an ally." He grinned smugly. His eyes gleaming with a new emotion.
"Sure." I grinned happy he had accepted.
"You know what you just agreed to?" He grabbed my hand and squeezed softly.
"Yeah." I had just confessed in the weirdest way.
