A/n : Just a quick note pay attention to anytime a flower/a plant mentioned by name is mentioned in this book . I often use it for symbolism ;) ,long chapter!
Y/n POV: I woke up to the loud noise of the wind. Sitting up in my room I squinted gazing at my window , a haze hung over the city as a storm raged. Wind cascading where ever it pleased, creating white noise. I stood up wandering over to my dresser pulling on what ever attire I saw fit. Opening my door I went to the kitchen and began brewing tea , the steady stream of liquid made a noise that blended into the haze of the storm. It was peaceful not a noise to be heard besides my tired yawn and the storm. Leaning on the counter I began to think. It was almost spring and soon these heavy showers would give way to many blooms of flowers. Suddenly the timer for the tea went off. Grabbing the cup from the microwave I took a sip. Letting out a pleased sigh I sat down at the counter. The herbal taste remained on my tongue. Garou's probably gonna sleep in. He stayed up awfully late, probably hunting. I hummed I'm confirmation to myself as my eyes wandered around the room. Eventually landing on a vase I had set on a small table. The Rue flowers I had bought had begun to die. I'll need to replace those. Biting the inside of my cheek habitually I sat. My leg bouncing to no particular rhythm.
" Yo space case!" I felt a quick thunk to my head. Hissing I turned my head to my assailant. Looking up with a glare I met the cold golden hues of theirs. Pursing my lips in a feigned irritated manner.
"Oww! What is it? Jeez you're quite." I spoke muttering the last part to my self. Garou smirked his teeth peeking out from behind his smug lips. Knitting my eyebrows together as I gave him a look over in slight annoyance. He relaxed his body letting out a guttural laugh. Slightly squinting in a mocking manner.
"I'm not called the infamous Hero Hunter for nothing squirt." I gasped in offense.
"S Q U I R T ?! ( >:0 ) I'm only seven inches shorter than you!!" He leaned down inching closer to my face as he reached my eye level with his dangerous smile.
"Still shorter than me." He replied curtly. I remained silent to distracted by his close proximity to me as I leaned back a little on the counter, my breath hitching. Whether it was from the animalistic fear scratching at the back of my mind knowing who he was or another foreign emotion I didn't know. The soft scent of bamboo wafting off of him.My eyes briefly flickering to his then to his smirk anxiously he licked his lips.
"Haha yeeep." I stammered out as I regained my composure.
"So what's for breakfast?" Rolling my eyes my lip twitched in a sarcastic manner.
"Your making it yourself big guy." Hearing him let out a huff like a large dog would through its nose he meandered to the small oven and fridge.
Sighing in relief I flicked on the remote to the small tv which quickly flickered to life. The glow penetrating the dull lighting from before. The TV served no other purpose than background noise as I watched Garou cook in stern silence. His brows knitted together in concentration. Despite being an ass he had motivation and usually perform with great execution. His large hand all but bending the plastic spatula. Soon he plated a delicious omurice platter down. Quietly snickering to myself as I took notice of the wobbly ketchup smiley face on it. The child like ketchup scrawling was honestly cute. He sat down at the kotatsu table with me as he scrunched his face together.
"Not your damn maid."He mumble in a huffy manner. Chuckling at the retort I just began eating the meal. It tasted good but the rice was a tiny bit burnt. But oh well it was good. Smiling as I ate I glanced over to Garou. Who unlike me was focusing on his meal. His hair spiked up in two tufts making him seem intimidating and larger to a similar affect of a cobras hood. It was odd feral animals display this trait as a way to fend off predators yet he was the predator.
"I wass gonna finish that." I said as I noticed that 'predator' had just finished my half of the platter. With his mouth full he only muttered.
"Oh sorry." Rice falling from his maw. Snorting at the sight I only shook my head dismissively.
Since then it had been a few hours since had went out to do what he wanted. By now the rain had stopped giving way to sun light. Looking at the clock I had noticed it was roughly 4 in the afternoon. I had no way of communicating with him as he didn't have a phone. A small inkling of an idea came into my mind. What would it even be like to text him ? My face grew slightly hot but it was probably just a fever.
"I have started to feel hot recently." I thought out loud to myself. Reaffirming my suspicion of a fever and brushing it off. I stood up stretching feeling my many vertebrae let out a loud pop from what I presume was my poor posture. Grabbing the keys I made my way out of the apartment complex after locking the entrance. Feeling the cool air hit me I had started to worry . He's gonna catch a fever if he stays out here for any longer. Chewing the inside of my cheek I picked up the pace. Looking to my sides as I went along my way. Eventually as I passed a good stretch of trees a flock of bird scattered upwards disturbed from the place of rest. That's probably a good sign he's over there. I ran into the forest looking for any signs of movement. Which at the time seemed like a flawless idea. The overwhelming scent of cypress and musk invaded my senses.Soon I spotted a inwards curled mass facing away from me , I approached with caution to find...
