Y/N POV:

I sat on my bed typing away the next book I looked to sell, as Admiral yowled at my feet looking for food.

"Hey Admiral food is in the kitchen, I'm a little busy right now." The cat simply nodded and went about his business as I continued my own. Today was dreary, the ran pattered down in waves against the apartment and my own feelings were not helping the atmosphere. Working out your emotions is harder than I thought. I sat typing as multiple emotions clouded my psyche, anger, and sadness primarily. But I've never been one to be immature about things when I can help it. I want to handle this like an adult. Standing up I closed my laptop and went into the kitchen for some lunch, greeted by the sight of Garou towering over the stove making curry. My heart clenched remembering the other day. We are allies and only allies. "Right." I muttered to myself sitting at the counter.

"Hey, what's got you in a mood?" He asked his tone was hard to read but I doubt he actually cared.

"I was thinking...how about we have a date?" He froze, eyes widened as he turned to me. At least it was of shock and not of disgust. He swallowed briefly and then spoke.

"A date?" He laughed breathily, I'd even say that laugh was attractive, if he wasn't laughing off the idea of a date with me. Garou's white canines glistened in his smile reminding me of the ever lurking danger that was Garou's nature.

"Hear me out Garou! I want to propose a dinner date on me, even if its as friends." I said almost pleadingly. He eyed me up and down trying to get a sense of what I was feeling. He placed his hands in his pockets and sighed. He gave a shrug in a nonchalant manner.

"Sure what the hell. Got nothing better to do today anyway." He laughed as his amber eyes bore into my own. I laughed back nervously.

" Great! We'll head out at five sound good?" Approaching me, he grinned licking his lips.

"Sure thing little lamb." I waved him off going back to my room. Mixed signals much? Walking towards my closet I decided what I'd wear for this 'date'. Stretching out my arms my shoulder joints let out a subtle pop noise. Tonight is going to be a long one.

When the time came to get ready, I changed into my nicer clothes. Smoothing out invisible wrinkles I took a deep breath nervously. Breathing out I left my room to find Garou asleep at the counter. I approached him and shook Garou gently. I chuckled as he blinked awake and grumbled.

"Huh? Is it really time already?"  He turned towards me giving me the once over and nodded approvingly. A grin played at this thin lips. I smiled gently at him.

"Yeah, let's get going. We can use my umbrella." I squeezed his hand gently before walking towards the umbrella stand by the door. He stood up and approached me. He stood leaning on the door frame above me.

"Alright lead the way." He hummed teasingly making my hair stand on end. Walking out I locked the door behind us as Garou opened the umbrella. Fearsome as a Fenrir Wolf he stood taller than the cities average citizen. As we walked among the city's crosswalk. The dinner time crowd buzzed with chatter. I tried my best distract myself from the feeling Garou was staring at me from behind. Soon we approached a nice restaurant that was a bit nicer than the average. Entering with the chime of a bell we were greeted by a slender woman.

"Ah! A booth for two?"  We nodded following the woman to our booth. Sitting down we looked over our menus. "What can I get you two?" She smiled happily at the two of us.

"A bloody marry. Thanks." Garou said rather curtly. I nodded and ordered my favorite drink. With that she scurried towards the kitchen. I sat messing with my hands awkwardly. Say something damn it! "Nervous are we?" Garou smirked interrupting my thoughts. I laughed at having been read so abruptly. I nodded.

"Haha yeah I suppose."

"Why, we've known each other three or so months now?"

"Y'know how I'd said we'd be allies?"

"Yeah?"

"Well I want —-."

"Your drinks are here!" The waitress said interrupting my heartfelt confession. Setting our drinks down she took our orders. Garou's having been a medium rare steak. Nodding she left our booth. I began to drink my beverage acting like that conversation never happened.

"Tell me y/n."

"I was going to say I want to be more then allies."

"You saying you want to be my sidekick?"
What? Why do I love this man again?  Pinching the bridge of my nose I inhaled.

"No you dumb ass! I want to be your romantic partner!" I whisper yelled , my face red out of embarrassment.

"Oh." He said dumbfounded as he continued working on his drink. His own face pink, probably embarrassed himself. Some time passed as we were brought our meals. Which Garou tore into with his bare hands as we ate in comfortable silence.
