A Dark Deception

The Rescue?

As Mikey lay languishing in a cage hovering above a vat of acid, he had broken into a fever on account of his internal injuries, the atmosphere below him was tense amongst the henchmen, Shredder was in a dark mood that left everyone to fear him. They all feared what the price of failure would be and they all were on edge as they awaited the turtles to come, lead by Bradford and Xever who had been sent to get them. 

"Fail me and I will gut you like a fish" Shredder bellowed at Bebop tiring of his needless chatter, 

"no worries Mr Shredder we got this" Bebop replied, sounding confident, 

"We will pop the turtle heads like the blueberries" Rocksteady added, 

Bebop guarded the turtle above him, but he was to injured to move so it wasn't exactly hard. While Rocksteady guarded the door trying to alert Shredder when he heard the turtles coming, listening out for Xever's robot legs or the stomping of Bradford's big mutated body.

The turtles, Karai, Splinter made their way to the docks meeting up with the Mutanimals on the way all armed and ready, they moved quickly and quietly, Leo decided, the Mutanimals should wait outside until Rahzar and Fishface got there they'd need backup when they arrived adding to the numbers they'd be facing. 

Splinter looked through a window he could see Shredder sitting in a throne like chair waiting  surrounded by the red Foot bots, with Bebop & Rocksteady circling the room and he saw Michelangelo's precarious position. He gulped, he hoped that the family would all survive this.

Despite himself being there Splinter was content to allow Leo to lead his brothers as if he wasn't there, as he normally would, Leo gasped too when he looked through the window, as he was making the plan, one by one they all took a look.

"Karai are you helping us in this fight?" Leo first wanted to know, 

"I can't fight my father, I've betrayed him enough for one day but I hope you rescue Michelangelo, good luck' Karai said as she walked away and climbed onto the roof of a nearby building quietly watching from afar.

Leo felt frustrated at that but regrouped "Ok then, Donnie you and me are going to focus on getting Mikey out of that contraption first before anything else, Splinter will take on Shredder, Raph you're on Bebop and Rocksteady and once Mikey is safely down, I'll come and help you,  the Mutanimals will join us shortly I'm sure, we will need them for help with the Foot bots. Donnie you need to get Mikey out of there that's your task no matter what, everyone clear" Leo asked, receiving collective nods all round, as they charged in, surprising the villains. 

Splinter went in first and rushed at Shredder with his katana and immediately the two began to duel, "Is there no low you will not sink to Saki, abducting a innocent!" Splinter said as their swords clattered as they fought.

"that's rich coming from a lowly rat" Shredder remarked with a sneer, as they continued to exchange smack talk, Splinter at this stage was focussed to keeping the Shredder busy with him so his other sons could get to their brother. 

They had had followed close behind, ready to fight and pull off the rescue.

Leo charged toward Mikey stuck in his cage he leaped on using his weight and momentum until it swung high and wide he then thrust his katana into the nearby wall so it pinned them against the wall with the cage and no longer hanging over the acid.

"Quick Donnie I can't hold the weight much longer" Leo gasped, 

Donnie flipped the blade out of his Bo staff and knocked the base of the cage out, using the blade as a screwdriver to loosen the four screws holding it in place, Mikey fell out with a grunt of pain and Donnie caught him, Mikey was burning up not really aware of what was going on around him groaning, as Donnie cradled him, Leo let go of the cage and it swung back to above the vat of acid now minus Michelangelo.
