When I awoke, my vision was blurry, and my head throbbed dully.

I couldn't remember where I was. My heart began to pound as that set in. Where am I? I tried to get up quickly, but my arms weren't as strong as I remembered and I flopped back down onto my stomach. I lifted my head slowly, and blinked to clear my hazy eyes. "Hello?" my voice broke off at the end of the word, leaving the word 'hell' hang in the air. It was strangely ominous.

I shivered.

I realized it was cold. The surface I was lying on was soft but cool, and I was wearing merely a t-shirt and shorts. I blinked again, and my vision finally cleared.

I gasped as my memory did too.

Sasuke. Sasuke had babysat me. And Naruto had shown up, too!

And then they drugged me and ran off.

I growled, which cleared my throat. The sound seemed too loud for the heavy silence in the room, but I had stopped caring. They had frickin' drugged me. And after I had made that weed joke to my dad, too! I moaned. Slowly, my arms and legs began to tingle as feeling made its way through my limbs. I pushed myself up, successfully this time, and looked around my room. It was still dark.

HOLY — how long had I been out cold?!

Days? Or hours?

I jumped out of bed and fell, slipping on my duvet which was strewn across the floor. I winced at the pain I felt on my scalp. Oh yeah. Sasuke had flung me across the room last night. Hence the disinfectant that had knocked me out. I stood up again and tip toed out onto the landing. I heard voices downstairs — they definately weren't my parents'.

My heart lifted. Were they still here?

I tip-toed down the stairs quietly, and paused in front of the kitchen door for a moment to determine who it was exactly. Sasuke's voice spoke softly.

"I've missed this. Hanging out."

I could hear the smile in Naruto's voice as he replied, "Yeah, me too. Sai's great, but...it's not the same, y'know?" There was a long, painful sigh from someone.

Until I realised it wasn't a sigh.

It was kind of a...gasp?

My heart raced.

Oh. My. Fire trucking. God.

Does...SasuNaru....actually....

I opened the door a crack, and peeked through. No, it wasn't SasuNaru. Kind of to my disappointment.

They were sitting at opposite ends of the kitchen table, both staring at the door. The gasp had been disguised as a sigh to alert the other that they weren't alone. "Who's there?" called Sasuke.

Drat. I'd been found out.

"Um, just me," I said meekly, pushing the door open with my shoulder and blushing a deep scarlet.

They both stared at me in surprise. "You're awake?" Naruto exclaimed. I blinked. "Yeah." Sasuke and Naruto exchanged a look. "How much did you put in?"

"Enough to knock her out for at least eight hours."

"It's been thirty minutes."

"I know."

They glared at each other for a second, not annoyed at each other, but at me. The fact that I was up. I glanced at the clock. It was only seven thirty. My parents wouldn't be back for hours. I licked my lips. They were cracked and bleeding. I tasted blood run over my tongue and rushed to the sink to wash out my mouth.

"Are you alright?"

Naruto had his hands on my shoulders and was leaning over the sink with me as I tried not to gag. "I can't stand blood," I murmured. "It makes me sick." Sasuke swallowed. "Me beating up that guy earlier probably didn't help with that." I chuckled softly and shook my head.

Naruto tensed. "You beat someone up? What the...?" I straightened up, feeling better now that the taste of blood was washed from my mouth. I wiped the back of my hand over my lips before turning to face them both. Naruto and Sasuke. Sasuke and Naruto.

I grinned, promptly hugging Naruto in a deathly bear hug. "YOU'RE REEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!"

He staggered back, startled, and laughed. "About as real as I'll ever be." He looked to Sasuke. "So...she knows me from those books?" Sasuke nodded. "Yeah. Apparently, it's the most famous manga in the world for the past ten-ish years." Naruto inhaled sharply.

"Whoa."

"I know."

I pulled back and took in Naruto's face. I'd seen it drawn a million times before, but up close, it was incredibly handsome. There were no flaws on his perfect skin, and his eyes seemed about as bright as his bubbly personality.

I caught my mouth hanging open and snapped it shut, going red. "Ah, sorry. I'm just...star struck." Naruto grinned his goofy grin. "Don't sweat it, I'm used to chicks drooling over me." Sasuke snorted and Naruto shot him a look of poison.

They were just like I thought they'd be. Well, not exactly, but still.

"I can't believe you guys are real," I breathed. "You're my heroes."

Naruto's eyes shone. "Really? Me?" He grinned again. "Naruto..." Sasuke said, sounding wary. Naruto looked to him, then back at me. "He must be the most uptight babysitter ever, huh? Well, let's have some fun!"

"Fun?" I asked, but he didn't answer. Instead, he scooped me up. I blushed furiously.

Whoa. Hold up. What kinda fun!?

"I'll show you some awesome ninja tricks!" Naruto laughed. "Sasuke, open the back door, will ya?" Sasuke didn't move. "Naruto, this isn't a good idea. We've already told—"

"Gah, I'll do it myself then," Naruto interrupted him, kicking open the back door.

I felt the cold night air whoosh over my skin and my arms prickled with goose bumps.

Then Naruto leapt into the cold, dark night.

"NARUTO! LUCY!"

Sauske's voice called.

I felt a chill run down my spine when he said my name.
