"You ready for tournaments?"Jake asks, changing the subject for the fifth time since we've taken our seats at the cafe.
I sip on my bubblegum milkshake and look up at him.
"It's less than a few weeks, but I'm confident," I shrug.
"Like always," Edward grins and steals one of Sarah's fries.
Laughing at his stupidity, I look at Sarah.
"You've been very quiet this whole time," I state and nudge her shoulder.
"Yeah, just thinking about some stuff, I mean, why do we need to go camping next week, it's absolutely stupid," she huffs.
"It's just the seniors," I shrug.
"Besides, isn't a four day break what we all need?"Jake raises his brows.
"I agree," Edward nods and finishes his milkshake.
"What about the wild animals and bugs," she shivers.
"Bug spray is a thing you know," Edward frowns.
"I also heard there's a lake there," Jake says.
"Great, now there is going to be a bunch of frogs," Sarah whines.
"Don't be so negative," I groan.
"Fine, if you whine at the camp, you owe me fifty bucks," she glares at me and the boys laugh.
"She's basically the most fearless person I know," Edward says and Jake nods.
"Just keep the fifty bucks in your back pocket," she says and downs her milkshake.
Jake slowly sips his coffee while I eat my donut.
"Practice is tomorrow," I tell Sarah.
"Don't worry, I already organized a ride home," she tells me and I nod.
"Well, I better get home before my mom kills me," Edward says and says his goodbyes, before leaving.
"Same, we need to go," I tell Jake and he nods.
"See you tomorrow," I tell Jake as Sarah and I pay our part of the bill before leaving.
We climb into the car and I drop her off at her house before heading to mine.
When I'm there, Sam's car is in the driveway.
"Where's dad?" I ask as I approach him in the living room.
"He'll be here at eight, he told us to order takeaways," Sam shrugs.
"Are you paying?" He grins.
"It's your turn to pay though," I gasp.
"I'm broke, I just bought the new-"
"I don't want to know," I sigh, cutting him off.
Lets just say he doesn't know how to save his money
"You can order, I need to shower," I tell him and head up stairs.
After my quick shower and dressing into sweats, I run downstairs just as the doorbell rings.
I pay for the pizza and lay on the couch after handing Sam his box.
"Do you think dad is seeing someone?" He asks.
"What do you mean?" I frown.
"He's been late the past week," he says.
"He would have told us," I state.
"Sure, he's going to tell his children about his sex life," Sam shakes his head and wolfs down his pizza slice.
"Ew, don't ever say that again," I shiver and change the channel on the TV.
"No!" Sam exclaims with pizza still in his mouth.
"What, you've had the TV long enough," I glare at him.
"I was watching the game," he whines, trying to get the remote out of my hand.
"Stop, you shit face," I groan, pushing him away with my foot.
"You're such a terrible sister," he pouts, crossing his arms.
"And you're such a baby," I stick my tongue out.
