"He completely ignored me and stormed off," I say through gritted teeth.
"Oh c'mon," Edward whines.
"I'm fine with him keeping secrets, but I'm not okay with him getting mad about a stupid joke," I huff.
"I'm pretty sure you hit a sensitive spot," Sarah says.
"Just get used to him, okay?" Edward says quietly.
"Fine," I say.
A few seconds later, Zac and Jake joins us at our table in the caffeteria.
"Hello guys," they greet and the conversion seems to flow.
"So, Zac," Sarah starts.
"We usually hang out for an hour after school on Mondays and Fridays at a cafe not to far from here and since you're now apart of our group, we think you should join us," she grins.
"I'd love too," he says, smirking and glancing at me.
I glare at him, but soon stop when Sarah kicks me under the table.
She should really stop that
Glaring at her, I finish my salad and soon the conversation starts again.
"Why are you so cold towards me?" Zac laughs.
I realize the question was aimed at me and I frown
"I should be asking you the same thing, but it seems you're ignoring what happend yesterday," I say
"You asked a stupid question " he shrugs.
"Are you so cold because you fell for me?" His smirk returns.
"Wait what?" Edward frowns.
"We were training together yesterday and then I swept her feet under her, making her fall for me," he grins.
"Maybe there is a reason why I'm so cold towards you," I say, glaring at him once again.
"You never told us that you train together," Jake nudges me, jaw to the ground.
"I only knew about this yesterday, guess who's her new partner,"Sarah says.
"To be honest, she's much stronger than I thought," Zac shrugs.
"And you have much more anger issues than I thought," I snap.
"Emma," Jake widens his eyes.
Rolling my eyes, I wait for the bell to ring.
Why am I always the one being called out when he's clearly being such an arrogant asshole.
My thoughts are cut short when the bell rings.
When I'm seated in English, we start to read Romeo and Juliette.
Luckily for me, Zac finally received a book by Mr Frobs.
It's about time
But that doesn't stop him from kicking my chair now and again.
Ignoring him, I read the next page as Mr Forbs requested.
As I read the page I feel a gaze upon me.
I'm pretty sure Zac is burning a hole in the back of my head with his eyes as I read the book.
When I shift my gaze, reading the sentence word for word as I memorized it, I see that Zac is in fact staring at me.
The stupid smirk on his face makes me angry.
I turn back around looking at the book, completely forgetting where I was reading previously.
"Read, Miss White," Mr Forbs demands.
I quickly scan the page looking for where I was, but no luck.
Suddenly the voice behind me starts reading from where I left off.
How on earth did he know where I stopped?
Huffing I see where he's reading.
I follow the words and clear my throat, making him stop.
"I got it," I announce.
