Aldera Junior High. The three words that can give anyone nightmares if you knew who attended. And you were no different with all the exaggerated bullshit everyone tends to put on this public middle school. And when all said and done, why was there always that one person who acts out?
"Tch! You gonna cry, Fire Hydrant?"
You had your arms crossed, eyebrow raised, and an annoyed expression that would soon blow up in this asshole's face.
"More like I'm gonna flood this whole school just so I can get a moment's peace."
Sometimes life was kind to you, but right now, it was being a douche. You never cried unless the insult was personal and really got to you. Even then, you had nothing to hide. Your life didn't have any regrets, and all the worries of fitting in soon faded away once you started middle school. Which, you guess you had to thank Katsuki for making it so much easier to ignore someone's crappy comments about what's in your locker.
"I get your trying to be funny, but no one is laughing. So why don't I", you cracked your knuckles and pointed your fingers toward the cafeteria, "go get some lunch while you three go fuck yourselves? Good? Good."
Bakugo's egotistical smile went away when you started walking. He didn't do anything to stop you though, but the bully to his right grabbed your shoulder.
"Hey now, we're not done here."
You shrugged him off, burning his hand with your quirk. It was so satisfying to watch a fool writhe in pain for a good twenty seconds.
"Nice chatting, I suggest you go out some ice on that."
After that, you finally gained some distance between you and the group. You were not about to be some butt of the joke in this stupid sitcom.
'Fire Hydrant'. Great, a new nickname.
"At least he's getting creative now.", you muttered. A small smile grew on your face despite the insult. You kinda liked the nickname, it matched your style perfectly. Oh, and how much it'll piss off Katsuki that you're actually fond of the name. Down the hallway, you kept your backpack strap around your body, plugged in your headphones, and scrolled through your phone to look for one of your favorite playlists. It was an unhealthy method of meditation, but you'd rather block out the world with your favorite tunes than know what's going on in the real world. Sometimes you even wished your quirk had to do with music, but alas, not all men are created with the advantages they want. That's not to say your quirk isn't strong, you just preferred your quirk be something that went along with your hobbies. Late bloomer's always get backlash because people believe the power is not as strong. That stereotype was getting old fast, though, when you entered this middle school. You've managed to pry off just about every person who tried to start a fight for dominance by simply shooing them away or spraying hot water on their face from your bare palms. Who knew a simple water quirk could do so much damage.
And that's what pissed off Katsuki the most.

"Kacchan really tried to corner you?"
You kept your back straight as you brought the chopsticks holding udon noodles to your mouth. Since Katsuki seemed to hate this green haired boy, you might as well become his friend. But in all seriousness, Izuku was and still is your very first friend. He came up to you when Bakugo wouldn't leave you alone, and now you two simply eat on the rooftop. Well.. 'friend' is a strong word, more like acquaintance. You don't know a lot about Izuku, other than the fact he's quirkless. And for some reason, it set a barrier between you two when it came to friendship. People looked at you like you were his hero, someone who protected him from the cruel reality of not having a power to call your own.
