You stretched your arms upward, a few joints popping as you tried to touch the sky.
Normally, exams were written and turned in to the teachers. Not U.A. When the sun reached its highest, you looked around once more. So many different faces, you were honestly wondering if your quirk would make the cut. Constant reassurance, water is the source of life. You are life, water always finds a way. Whether it be through the smallest hole or the biggest crack it always flowed until it dried out. You can't dry out now, not while you had eyes from the best highschool known to train future pro heroes on you.
"No alarm to start..?", you muttered to yourself.
Right, this is U.A. You had to do things on your own terms, but the feeling of uncertainty made you nervous. Where could you find a signal that the exam's about to start? Everyone's in different places to split up friends and family. Made sense, no one can play favorites when it came to hero and villain situations. That meant relatives and people you're close to. Smart.
"RIGHT, LET'S START!"
Huh? You looked up to see the man who lectured your group up on a high pillar. He moved his arm in a circular motion, all the energy was too much for anyone's liking. But you found it kinda funny.
"GET MOVING! THERE ARE NO COUNT DOWNS IN REAL BATTLES, RUN RUN RUN, LISTENERS! YOU'RE WASTING AIR-TIME HERE!", Mic yelled out to his heart's content.
All you needed to hear was the word "move". Once you knew you had the okay, you used your quirk to boost your way infront of everyone else. It was like you were hovering with ease, the water shooting out of your hands boosted you through the air like a paraglider as you looked around for the targets U.A. set for its future students. The lecture talked of robots. Each bot had their own set of worth, smaller bots were worth one, mediums were worth five, and massive bots were worth eight. So far, the first bot you spotted was a one pointer.
With everyone long behind your back, you could use your quirk freely. You landed with one hand against the ground and your legs bent to keep your pose, the evil smile that crept on your face could terrify the devil himself.
As the bot charged, your left hand raised with boiling hot liquid that power sprayed through the one pointer like a high powered flame thrower.
Clean slice, that was one point. You stayed hydrated all morning for this, now you could let loose as the points kept rolling in. The rest of the contestants finally came by the time you killed at least fifteen points worth of robots.
"Hey, that one's mine!"
"WATCH IT, PRESSURE HOSE!"
"Hey! That's hot!"
You backed away from the people you almost hit with your quirk. While that wasn't the intent, they kept going for the bots you were aiming for. It was their fault they were trying to steal what's yours, and you weren't going to apologize for it.
A five pointer knocked your body down to the floor. Fucking hell! It didn't hurt as much as you thought it would as the robots aren't built to harm, only to push people around. The only qualities they had was their speed, and if they actually caught you then you would be left with a bruise here and there, but nothing too drastic. Anger built up under your skin like a festering blaze. Quickly getting back to your feet, the bot's head was blown clean off from how hot your water got. Your palm stung, now the score on your worth was sixty four points. Just one more, then you'd be satisfied. Just one more. Thinking back to middle school, you remembered what your ID said:
