Solitary (Katsuki Bakugo x Reader)

Chapter Seven - Not So Quirky

"Bad guys, you can go on in and get set up. In five minutes, the good guys will be let loose and the battle will start!"

"Yes sir!"

"So.. how do you guys want to do this?" You held your hands behind your back, looking at the other two hopefully.

"Go in, blow their asses up, and win the damn match." Katsuki was staring at the paper mache weapon, refusing to look at anyone.

Right, this is Bakugo you're talking to. "Or maybe we actually have a plan. I don't know if that tiny brain of yours remembers this, but this exercise is a team effort, Bakugo."

You flicked the back of his head and stood next to the angry pomeranian to look at the fake weapon. Katsuki finally decided to notice you, teeth bared like a dog. "Don't you talk to me like I'm a fucking toddler! I told you what the plan was, and you're gonna follow it. While you two are taking care of that gravity girl, I'll kill Deku!"

Tenya raised his hand in defense. "Isn't that a bit remorseless for this exercise? Although, I don't like the idea of being in a villain's perspective, I'll act as one to become a hero! But that doesn't mean we need to act as one to win our objective."

Katsuki scoffed and turned back around towards the weapon. There was just no getting through to him.

"Okay.. let's try think about this plan. There's three of us, Iida is faster than the both of us so I say he keeps watch of the weapon while you and I go after Uraraka and Izuku. Sound good?"

He still didn't turn around. But he spoke with clear words. "All you have to do is stay out of my way. Deku is mine, so you're getting that gravity girl."

Sounded simple, as arrogant as he said it. Izuku didn't exactly show his quirk until the end of yesterday's exercise, and whenever he does use it, it wounds him.

"She has a name, you know. Like how I have a name, but you disrespectfully refuse to acknowledge?"

Katsuki finally turned around to look at you, the crimson slits of those eyes looked angrier than before. "Whatever. Just follow my lead."

You lost Katsuki down the hall. So much for a team effort. "Iida, can you hear me?"

"Loud and clear, (L/n)."

You pressed the little button on your earpiece after testing if they truly worked or not. Katsuki definitely wasn't going to reply, so you had to rely on Tenya for this exercise.

The building was cold. All the lights were off so no one could clearly see. Part of your glasses had night vision, so you could see which pipes had water and whatever was lurking in the dark. You stayed bent down to the floor. Izuku's intelligent, one wrong move and this could end badly for your team. Although, when it came to physical strength, you overthrew him.

Where are you, Izuku..?

The building had a lot of blind spots. Slowly, you looked around each corner and listened for footsteps down the eerie halls. The feeling of you being watched made you anxious, being on camera to impress your classmates with your quirk wasn't something you'd pick for the second day of school. The floor vibrated. You knelt down to the ground and ran your hand across the cold floor. There was a faint sound of an explosion that happened just below you, Katsuki found Izuku and Ochako.

"Iida, good news and bad news. I know where the heroes are, but Bakugo is going only after Izuku. Keep an eye out for Uraraka, she could be anywhere by now."
