Tanjiro is injured, leaving Nezuko to go down the mountain in his place.
When she returns, a familiar but horrific scenario unfolds infront of her.

-Nezuko POV- After the demon dissolved I ran over to the small cave where Tanjiro ran to, but halfway there someone tapped my shoulder. "Hello are you the girl Sabito sent here?" I turned around swiftly, seeing the mask he was wearing kinda scared me. "G-gah! Oh- yeah that's me!" " I didn't even hear his footsteps !" I thought to myself as I shivered. "Is that demon you were with realated with you somehow?" "Yes, He is" I said getting a little angry he had called Tanjiro a "demon" "In that case, why is he travelling with you?" "Because!" I half shouted. "That 'demon' is my brother!" "Has he eaten anybody?" "No, and he never will" his comment mad me even angrier. The man rolled a basket with straps on the back, like someone could wear it like a backpack. (Ik they don't have backpacks in the Taisho period don't come @ me) "What's that for?" I asked looking up at the man still a little angry, before he responded. "That basket is for you to carry your brother in, so the sun disent hurt him." "Thank you...." I said masking my anger, as I ran over to the small cave Tanjiro had crawled into. I saw his head poke out from a small hole he had dug towards the back. "Is my older brother turning into a mile too?" I thought to myself, laughing a little. "Hey Tanjiro look what I have." I said stepping into the cave, as I pulled the basket in along with me. He poked his head out a little further, as he looked at the basket and me. "Is that for me?" He asked, a puzzled look on his face. "Yes! It's so we can keep moving in the daytime." "Where are we going then?" I propped up the basket so he could get inside. "Up the mountain so I can train to become a dem-" I stopped afraid he might be sacred. "A demon what?" He asked. I took a deep breath before responding to him "Slayer.." "So we can slay the bad demons together?" He asked, a determined look on his face. "Yes, so we can slay the bad demons together" I said in a confirming way. "Now, can you fit in here?" I asked as I gestured to the basket. "Let me try.." He said inching his way in head first. He only got half of his body in, "woah! You seem like you've gotten bigger since last time or something-" I said pausing for a moment as I connected the dots. "Hey Tanjiro try shrinking down." "How would I shrink?" He responded, "try imagining yourself smaller or something." I said, not really knowing how to describe it. "Ok..I'll try that" he said as he attempted to fit again. But this time he succeeded, I saw him look up at me.

"Nezuko I did it!" He said smiling up at me. "Hey Tanjiro" "Yeah Nezuko" "I'm gonna have to close the lid" "That's ok for me, I'll be fine." "Thank you for letting me know that" I said closing the lid to the basket, draping my kimono over it so any holes would be covered. I put the basket on my back, walking out to see the man from earlier praying at hole where the body of the woman had been buried. "So your all set to go?" He asked looking at me. "Yes sir I'm all set to go" "Good now this is your first test to see if you qualified" He then started running towards a path. "Follow me" he said I tried to keep up with him. We ran out of the forest and into the paths near the farmers field I was breathing really heavy as we ran I was farther behind him, but I still managed to keep up with and not lose sight of him. "Sorry Tanjiro I know this must be jarring but you'll have to hold on!" I thought to myself, remembering he was in the basket that was on my back. "Hold on.." I thought again "I still can't hear his footsteps even though he's running!" I was amazed he could be so quiet, I also wondered if he would teach me how to be that quiet on my feet. -Timeskip Brought to you By Giyuu Tomioka- We finally made it to what seemed to be, a very small shack up the mountain. "Did I-" I breath heavily. "Did I pass the test" "No that was a lie" he said seriously. "The real test starts now..." "Eh?" I said confused. To be continued...
