Erin was pacing at home, Alex had said that she would go out to run errands for the week. But it had been 5 hours and she still wasn't back. Alex wasn't answering Erin's phone calls or texts. When she called a friend of hers that worked at their store. He had said that Alex never showed up. It was strange, Alex never took longer than three hours. Erin didn't get how she did it, but Alex was quick with groceries. Erin's norm stood at 5 hours to get everything she needed. 

It was an hour later when Alex called, Erin heard buzzing in the back. But shook it off. "Rin darling i am going to need you to dress up for me. I will be there in an hour alright?" Alex had asked of her before Erin could ask where she was. Erin agreed, "Of course love, see you later." and with that she hung up. Of course, she trusted Alex with her life. But that didn't mean she wouldn't be worried when her girlfriend was gone for 6 hours. 

Erin just finished dolling up when Alex came up behind her and kissed her neck. "Mmhh hello love, you look positively gorgeous tonight. Not that you don't look ravishing everyday of course." Alex murmered into her. Erin turned around, noticing that Alex was already in fancy wear. "Alexandra where were you? i was worried sick and you didn't answer my calls or anything!" Erin ranted, Alex hugged her close, hushing her. "My love i was preparing tonight, i needed to find a dress and all. It was supposed to be a surprise." Alex stated, making Erin curious. "what surprise?" Erin asked slightly tilting her head. "honey don't worry it is nothing bad." Alex comforted Erin slightly, hooking her arm into the other woman's.

Alex controlled the car with grace and poise. mesmerising Erin without noticing, or so Erin thought. Alex felt the burning glances, she wasn't blind. When Erin finally turned her gaze from Alex, Alex put her right hand on Erin's thigh. Erin froze, realizing she had been caught. She looked like a dear in headlights, which caused alex to chuckle. "like what you see?" Alex teased Erin. Erin blushed and turned her head to the road ahead of them. 

When they arrived, Alex helped Erin out of the car. leading them to the picnic table at the waterside. When they sat down, Erin finally took the time to look around. She noticed that the shed was decorated with fairy lights. They took seats aside from each other, wanting to be close to the other. "Erin, do you want anything to eat?" Alex asked. "How-" Erin tried to respond but Alex cut her off. "There are some people in my debt. i chose to take them up on that." Alex smirked, which caused Erin to  giggle "Why Aexandra, what have you done now?" Erin teased faining surprise. 

"What do the ladies want?" David asked, he was in a suit and Erin nearly cried from laughter when she saw him like that. Alex sighed, Shaking her head at her lover. "Nothing except some soda, thank you." Which caused Erin to look at her confused. "I have to show you some things. Things that explain my long leave today, and i need to ask you something."Alex stated without any stutters. As david came back in sight again. Erin could not help but giggle. "Erin, i am trying to do my job for fucks sake." David deadpanned, which caused erin to wheeze. tears springing in her eyes from laughing so hard, it took all of Alex's self restraint not to giggle, she covered it up with a cough. "Well, i will be going now." David muttered before taking his leave. "How- How did you get David "this is my i don't care face" Rossi to do this if i may ask? " Erin asked through her wheezes. "you remember the ditch?" Erin nodded, "Well i carried him down there. Let's just say i told him he owed me a lot. Erin was  holding the table for balance by now. 

When they finished their grape soda. Alex took a deep breath, gathering the courage to show what she had done. In the hopes that Erin would like it. "OK so, about my leave today. I went to a store and got something done. Erin looked confused.  Alex rolled up her sleeve, showing the text

with Erin's Signature and a heart under that. "You-" Alex nodded. Tears welled up in Erin's eyes. She raked her finger's over Alex's arm. Gently stroking the ink, Being careful about the fact it was still sore. Erin wrapped her arms around Alex's waist. "Oh my god Allie, thank you so much." Erin whispered, Alex kissed Erin's forehead and smiled. When they broke apart she noticed the whole team gathering at their spot, first Penelope and David; Arm in arm, then Derek and Savannah, then Aaron and Beth and JJ and Emily. Erin looked around bewildered, noting that she should Ask Penelope about how that happened. "Lexie, what is hap-?" Erin looked back at Alex. But she got cut off by her own hand as she noticed Alex holding  a satin box with a diamond ring in it.

"Erin Rose Strauss, we met 25 years ago at the academy, we have had our ups and downs since then. There was a time i absolutely despised you. But when you came up to me, saying you were in rehab. And making amends. I forgave you, the truth was i never stopped loving you. I remember the joy when i saw you in that dress on our first date since the case. I knew immediatly i was going to marry you then. Now, 5  years later. I finally get the chance to ask you properly. Erin Rose Strauss, will you do me the honour of becoming Erin Miller nee Strauss and let me make a honest woman out of you?"

Erin could do nothing but cry, nodding. "Yes, yes yes yes of course i will marry you." Erin answered throwing herself around Alex. They were so caught up in their own little words that they didn't notice the team clapping and whooping.
