It was a year after Erin's death, Alex went into mourning and quit working at the B.A.U. She was currently sitting on her couch doing nothing but switch channels, that was until she saw something on the news. 

Catherine Durant, 59 years old. Elected for U.S senator. Is making a tour through pennysylvania for her Campagne. 

The moment the pictures showed up Alex dropped the remote. There was Erin Strauss, now as Catherine durant. Presenting herself as candidate for U.S senator. Alex slapped her hand over her mouth, texting her new found friend. And possibly the only one to know Erin was still alive; David Rossi

A: David stephen rossi you better tell me that what i just saw was not Erin Strauss

D: Technically it's Catherine now, but yes. It is her

A: you know i am going to kill you right?

D: expected that, you might as well come over for some wine 

A: you owe me an apology and an explanation old man

D; sure thing love, cyu in 10?

A: sure.

Alex grabbed her purse and keys and nearly ran out of the house into her car. She needed answers and quick.  

Alex knocked on David's door, Waiting impatiently for him to answer. The door went open. "David how could you, you know damn well how much i love that woman and you still keep her from me. And now she is running for U.S senator dammit. " Alex screamed poking Dave in the chest. Dave merely hugged Alex close, stroking her hair while hushing her. Alex broke down. "Alex I am sorry, WitSec provided Erin one contact person during her time. She was too afraid to contact you after her attempt to make amends." this made Alex only cry harder. It was her fault that Erin did not contact her. 

"David, didn't the news reporter say she would be here later today?" alex mumbled. "you want to go visit her don't you?" David stated more than asked. Alex merely nodded. "Alex of course we can do that, I can call her right now saying we are coming." David added already grabbing his phone. Alex Pushed it away, "No David, you call her saying you are coming with a surprise guest. Just do not tell her i will be there please. I don't know how She'll react." David sighed calling Erin

"Catherine Durant." 

"Erin it's me, i wanted to tell you i am coming with someone, i cannot tell you who right now. Just keep two chairs free  please."

"OH hi David, Of course. I only have seats left in the back, I hope that would suffice."

"Of course Erin, that would be perfect. See you."

"bye david." 

Alex stood there gaping, surprised at the cold interaction between the two. "We- Weren't you two-" David cut her off "Yes we were, however. She ended things saying she loved someone else. She didn't want to hurt me." David stated with a hurt expression. "Dave i am so sorry." Alex went over to hug him, David gladly accepted the hug. He knew that Erin loved Alex, he just couldn't bring himself to tell Alex. 

After both were dressed up in semi-formal clothing, they got into David's car. It was a quiet ride, both didn't know what to say. Alex was slightly panicking. How would Erin react seeing the woman there. Would it ruin everything? Would she be mad at Alex? David seemed to sense ALex's panick as he put a hand on her knee telling her all would be fine. "She would be surprised , not mad. If anything she would be happy to see you." this calmed Alex slightly. 

They arrived at the city hall where Catherine would hold her speech, the place was crowded with press. Alex, who wasn't used to the publicity ducked her head into david's shoulder. David put his hand up signaling the press had to back off. They walked into the building taking their seat in the back. 

Meanwhile Erin was fixing her clothes while her stylist did her hair into the bun she always had in back at the B.A.U, she desperately wanted to go back there. But this was her life now, she was Catherine Durant now. Not Erin Strauss. She missed alex dearly, that was one of the reasons she couldn't return. She was afraid of Alex's reaction. Even after all those years Erin still held feelings for the woman. So of course she was anxious when she made it to the national news with her campagne, she knew alex had seen it. 

It was time, Erin walked into the hall to the stage, starting her speech.

"As U.S senator, i want to make a difference in the way women get treated in this country, i want to end the sexist ways america has. The reputation, i also want to make slight differences to the weapon law we hold in this country." After this Erin started the boring part of her speech, looking over the crowd for some familiar faces, she saw Frank and Claire. Two friends she loved very dearly. And she saw Zoe, The pesky reporter who slept her way to the top with frank hurting Claire in the process.  When she looked in the backrow she saw david, as she expected. But she also saw Alexandra. Erin nearly choked. Luckily her speech ended. Erin nearly ran out of the room calling David. 

"David stephen Rossi next time warn me if you bring her please!" 

"I am sorry Erin, she saw you on the news and broke down. She desperately wanted to see you again. She was so scared of you reaction though." 

"well, come to the back. I need to talk with the both of you." 

"see you in 5."

Hanging up, erin loosened her hair from its bun and threw off he blaer, leaving her in a skirt and a black shirt. 

"Alex, Erin wants to see us. Come here." David whispered, throwing his arm around her waist to keep her from the claws of the press.

They walked to the back, where Helen, Erin's assistant waited for them.

"She's in there, nice to see the both of you again."Helen said hugging them both. David knocked on the door, where a visibly crying Erin opened. Seeing the other woman cry made Alex burst in tears. She hadn't seen the woman in so long.  Erin ran up to alex, the two of them holding onto each other as if the other would dissapear when they let loose. "Alexandra i am so-" Alex cut Erin off by smashing her lips onto the ones of the woman infront of her, Erin wound her hands into the other womans hair, kissing back with as much passion. Not being able to kiss the woman you love for twenty years does something to a person. They had to break apart for air eventually, foreheads touching. Alex glanced over at the door, seeing Dave left a note saying he was waiting for the two of them in the car. 

A week later Erin backed off from the elections, got her own name back and was now an SSA, not wanting to have the stuffy job of Unit chief anymore. Alexandra became an agent again.

A month later Erin proposed, not wanting to let Alex go ever again

A year later they were married.
