it was a chilly day in April, Erin was rocking in her chair. Alan had moved out a day prior, he took the kids with him. Now having too much time on her hands, she texted alex

e: Lex, you up for a game of cards and a drink at mine? Alan moved out and i am bored

L; Betcha, see you in ten xx

e: See  you xx

Erin smiled as she put her phone away, it was now five years after the Amerithrax case. The two had made up not even a year after, being unable to stay away from each other for that long. Erin's mind wandered. What were they exactly, They kissed regularly. They hadn't really pinpointed their relationship-status. Alex was the reason Alan left. He thought the two were too close for his liking. They never had sex with each other ofcourse, they were naturally only friends. Although the two had come quite close over the years, with  heated midnight Make-out sessions or kisses that started with simple pecks but got heated real quick. They had slept in bed together, showered together and all. But not even once did one of them bring up their situation. They were more than friends, everyone could see that. Except Erin and Alex theirselves. They never really thought much about it.

Alex had arrived ten minutes later as promised, when Erin opened the door they engulfed eachother in hugs and kisses, those kisses turned into a full-blown make-out session. Alex slammed Erin against the wall. Erin threw her hands in alex's hair, slightly tugging on it earning a moan from Alex. Too their dismay they had to pull away eventually for some much needed air. Erin smiled, speaking up first. "Hi love, take a seat in the garden i will grab the cards and drinks. Any preferences?" she asked Alex. "Do you have any merlot? and sure, ill clean the table." Alex added while grabbing a wet towel to clean the table. "Ya bet i got merlot, you know its my favourite." Erin scurried to the Wine-Cellar underneath her house. Alex smiled, enjoying watching the woman laugh.

They were playing for almost an hour now. Erin had lost all of them, pouting when Alex won once again. Alex merely giggled. She loved winning. They had to quit when it became dark. "How about we drink some tea inside while you tell me about how your day went?" Erin suggested, Grabbing the cards to put them back in their box. Alex agreed, kissing Erin slightly on the lips before the woman took off to get the tea.

"So, how's everything at work?" Erin asked, Alex and herself worked at the B.A.U. Both as SSA's. But Erin was on mandatory leave because of a case she got harmed on. "It's boring without you. I miss the sarcasm, and of course the shooting on the track. It is one of the things i enjoy  getting beaten in." Alex stated, noticing Erin blushing. They fell into a comfortable silence after that. Erin finally decided to do something about the situation they were in. She needed answers, and she became impatient.

"Alexandra, love. I think we need to talk about this.. thing we have going on." Erin suggested insecure of what Alex would say. "We do don't we? i have been dreading this conversation for some time now." Alex answered, the tension finally hitting her.

Erin took a deep breath, preparing herself to ask the question. "So, Alex. As you noticed Alan divorced me, and that does not bother me at all. The thing that bothers me is the reason." Erin started, Alex not entirely following. Looking at Erin with curious eyes. Erin continued. "he found us too close for his liking. And i have been thinking, he wasn't the only one to ask about what we are. I mean, David looked at me as if i was crazy when i told him we were friends. It seems like everyone things of us as more than just friends. And i have been wondering, What exactly are we? Erin questioned, letting out a sigh. She fiddled with her fingers waiting for an answer. "i have no clue what we are, But all i know is that i don't wanna lose you again. And that i cannot get enough of you." With this declaration Alex threw herself at Erin. Kissing her with all the passion she could have. Erin kissing her back just as passionate, how they got from a serious talk to a full blown make-out session was unclear for the both of them. but they weren't complaining.  Erin broke them apart by an inch, "Honey, as much as i would love to do this on a couch. Our backs are gonna hate us. Let's take this upstairs." She had barely even finished her sentence before Alex lifted her, Erin wrapping her legs around Alex's waist.

They broke apart panting, their breaths uneven. Both slick from the sweat. "Glad we got that sorted out, although i did not have any worries about it." Erin panted out throwing a wink at Alex. Alex chuckled, "We can always have a repetition to be sure." Erin blushed and ducked under the covers, snuggling close to alex. "'ove you" Erin murmered before falling asleep. Alex kissed the top of her head. "Love you too Erin strauss." How she ended up with this wonderful woman was beyond her. But she hoped it would last.
