You sighed, that annoying alarm waking you. You sat up, rubbing the tiredness from your eyes. Once you were ready to get up for the day, you headed to the restroom. There, you did your business and got ready. You picked up your wrist, examining the small symbol you were born with. It was 3 jagged lines that looked like claw marks. You sighed. You had always been told that in your society, you were born with a mark and someone else has it. They could be on the other side of the world, anywhere, who knows. But you had to find them. You were already 33 and hadn't found anyone. You looked back into the mirror, shaking your head. Finally, you finished getting ready and headed to work.

After arriving at work, you opened the shop up, sweeping and turning on the TV's. You worked at a small coffee shop in London. It usually wasn't busy, nothing unusual. You had another co-worker you were close to, Sam. She knew about your marking problem and always reassured you you'd find someone. After she came in, you and her chatted for a bit, waiting for people to come in. Finally, after around an hour of being open, a small group of people came in. You put on your best smile and gave a warm greeting. "Hello, welcome! How can I get you started?" You examined the group and how odd most of them looked. One had blue hair and no eyes, one a greenish color with a distorted nose, a larger dark skinned man with white eyes, and the most normal looking one, a Japanese girl with raven hair who had looked to be in her teen years. But it was still odd to see her with the odd group of men. You ignored the men's different traits and went back to taking their orders.

Once they all ordered, the green man pulled out a card, holding it out to you. You took it but stopped. You saw as his sleeve fall down a bit, revealing a mark. It was the same one you had. You blinked, heart racing. Was your soulmate really in front of you right now? You gulped, hesitantly pointing to the mark, "I-Is that a tattoo.?" He raised a brow, "No? Why?" You turned your wrist to show the mark, nervous. His eyes widened. Suddenly, the Japanese girl gasped, "Murhdoc! She has the same mark! You two are sōrumeito!" (soulmates.) His cheeks flushed a bit, "I- er.." He stammered. Even though he was green, he was still pretty handsome. You chuckled, walking to make their drinks.

You finished the drinks, walking back. Murdoc, you thought was his name, was now gone. You frowned, your heart feeling shattered. The only people still waiting was the little girl and blue haired boy. He smiled, taking the drinks and thanking you. You nodded, telling him they were on the house. Before they left, the raven haired girl ran back, handing you a piece of paper, "Phone number for Muh'doc. He was nervous so went back to car." You blushed, nodding and thanking her. She giggled, running out to their car which you saw pull away and drive off. You smiled. You still had a spark hope.

After returning from your tiring day of work, you slipped off your work clothes, throwing on a large shirt that went to your knees. But as you took off your pants, a small paper flew out. You picked it up, seeing those digits you had collected earlier. You felt your stomach tie into a knot. What if he doesn't like me? What if we were't meant to be soulmates? You kept questioning yourself. After about 2 minutes of thinking, you managed to calm yourself down. You unlocked your phone, taking a breath and entering the digits.

You.
Hey, Murdoc, was it? It's that
girl from the café. Just
want to let you know, if
you wanna hang out or talk,
I'm usually always open. :)

You sent the message, cringing a bit. Were you too forward? You sighed, putting your phone down and going to your kitchen to eat.

After eating, you had forgotten about the text until your phone buzzed. You shuddered, flipping it over to see a response from the man. You took a breath, opening the message.

Murdoc.
Oh, hello. How'd you
get my number?
Noodle? Faceache? Agh,
I hate them. Anyways, I'm sorry
for being all awkward. It's
just, I'm 38 and never been
able to find someone with the
matching mark. Also to add,
it was in a cafe, haha.

Butterflies filled your stomach as you read the text. You admired how he seemed like a talkative person. You smiled, responding.

You.
Haha, Noodle, I'm
guessing is the teen girl,
is adorable! It was quite funny
seeing her call you out like
that.

You snickered to yourself. Almost about a minute later, you got a response back.

Murdoc.
Wasn't funny for me!
Quite embarrassing, actually.
But yeah, I'd be so up to
hang out one of these days
love.

You smiled, holding your phone up to your chest in excitement. But, then you stopped. Those bad thoughts came in again. What if he doesn't like me? What if he rejects me? God, Y/N, stop getting so attached quickly! You sighed, calming down. You looked back at your phone, rereading the message. Whatever. Shoot your shot.

Time skip. (Aprox. 3 years.)

You sighed, taking deep breaths as you stared yourself down in the mirror, anxiety throughout your body. I look.. fine.. Suddenly, the door swings open, Sam running straight up to you. "YOU LOOK AMAZING Y/N!" She squealed, admiring your dress/suit. You smiled, wrapping your arms around her in a more calming hug. Soon you heard sniffles. You pulled back seeing her sob with a smile. You gulped, feeling that lump in your throat, "Sammy, damnit, don't cry! I'll cry too and I can't!" She chuckled, wiping the tears away, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I just.. Remember you always saying you would never meet your soulmate and here you are." She smiled, tucking a piece of your H/C hair behind your ear. You shook your head, wrapping her in another embrace. "What would I do without you?"

Finally, the time had come. You linked arms with the light of your life, your main supporter, your F/M. You looked up, holding back tears as the doors open, revealing you to the crowd. You saw 2D, Noodle, and Russel besides him, a big smile on their faces, Noodles eyes seeming watery. You chuckled softly, walking down the isle as you heard everyone compliment you. You looked up, locking eyes with your soulmate. He was astonished. He had never seen someone so gorgeous in his life, it almost made him malfunction as a human. Once you made your way to the altar, standing in front of him, he lifted your veil, revealing you glass like, E/C eyes. He looked up quickly, wiping an eye. "Dear Satan.." He muttered. You softly laughed to yourself, taking his hands. He smiled warmly, staring at your beauty. As the pastor said the vows, you said your "I do,"'s and connected lips, proving you two were really soulmates now.
