Cammy's POV
"Detablan!" Pagtawag saakin ng officer.
"Sir Briggs wants to talk to you." Sambit niya bago ako tumayo.
Naglakad ako papunta sa office ni Sir Cole Lyndon Briggs, at pagpasok ko, nakita ko si Sir Briggs pati si Cloud na biglang umiwas ng tingin saakin.
"Cammy, have a seat." Pagyaya niya bago ako umupo sa tapat ni Cloud.
"Sir--"
"You can call me Cole... for now." Sambit niya na ikina-ngiti ko.
"I still remember what you told me about your dad who died on that train wreck." Sambit niya na ikinabuntong hininga ko lang.
"You know what, you both can be one noble soldiers. Not only for your skills, but for being thoughtful about others."
"I was wondering... why are you so soft when you heard about my dad?" Tanong ko na ikinabuntong hininga niya.
"You're not the only one who lost someone on that train wreck."
"Cole..."
"My girlfriend... she was also a victim when the Russian Empire placed a bomb in that train." Sambit ni Cole habang nagpipigil ng pag iyak.
"Cole..."
"You don't need to be sorry. You're not the only one who lost love ones. When I heard about your dad, I tried to be as calm as I can, knowing that your dad was also a victim." Sambit niya habang pasimpleng nagpupunas ng luha.
"And Cloud... your dad was one of the reasons why I joined the military when I still dreamed of becoming a soldier."
"Thank you... Cole..."
"Your dad must be very proud to have a son like you." Sambit niya bago tapikin si Cloud.
Pero may napapansin ako kay Cloud na hindi ko masabi. It's more like, iniiwasan niya ako or something. Ewan!
"Sorry for the interruption, but you both are one of the most skilled and noble soldiers I had, so I want you guys to lead our soldiers to the battlefield if I died." Sambit niya na ikinakunot ng noo ko.
"Roger that Cole. I'll do everything I can to lead our men to defeat the Russians." Sambit ni Cloud na ikina-ngiti ni Cole.
"You can leave now." Utos niya saamin ni Cloud bago kami tumayo at umalis sa office niya.
"Cloud! Pagtawag ko sakanya bago ito lumingon.
"Ayos ka lang? Kinakabahan ka ba? I know you'll be one fine soldier!" Sambit ko na ikinabuntong hininga niya.
"Thanks..." Walang emosyon na sambit niya bago ito maglakad palayo saakin.
Anong meron kay Cloud?? Magkaibigan lang naman kami hindi ba? Pero bakit parang iniiwasan niya ako?
Cloud's POV
I understand why Sir Briggs chose Cammy to be one of the leaders, but I know it won't work! Because of my stupid feelings for her, we won't be able to fight like real soldiers!
I can't stand it no more! She's getting married soon! And why did I fall in love with her?! Why did I fall in love with a girl who is getting married soon?!
I went inside my room and lay down all alone.
I can't have the urge to talk to anyone right now, especially Cammy.
I wanted to think about the war, but why the hell did Cammy stay in my mind?! Why did that girl, who's getting married soon, got stuck inside my mind?!
I can't fall in love with her! I need to focus, for my Dad's legacy.
"Cloud!" Pagdating ni Bruno sa kwarto.
"Pinag usapan kasi ni Cammy yung tungkol kay Sir Briggs. And natutuwa nga ako na isa ka sa mga magiging leader ng giera na to." Sambit niya na ikinabuntong hininga ko lang.
"Bakit brad? Hindi ka okay recently ah." Tanong niya na nag aalala.
"I just miss my mom... and my sister..." Pagpalusot ko.
You already know why diba? So don't mention it!
"Ganun din ako brad. Mula nung pinag isipan namin ni Cammy na sumali sa military, hindi talaga pumayag mama ko. Pero, nangako si Cammy na proprotektahan namin ang isa't isa. Kaya Cloud, kung sasabak na tayo sa giera, isipin mo yung mga pamilya mo." Sambit niya na ikina-ngiti ko ng onti.
I don't want to tell you Bruno... I'm sorry, pero baka mag iba yung tingin mo saakin pag nalaman mo yung totoo.
So I'll just keep my mouth shut.
