Third Person's POV
Everything is peaceful, until an explosion was heard from the distance. A train wreck happened because of an unknown explosion. Thousands of people are badly injured, while hundreds are dead.
In a camp, a soldier is walking towards an office where their commander is sitting down watching the news about the train wreck.
"Commander Briggs. Have you heard about a train wreck that suddenly happened?"
"Yes, and I know it was caused by the Russian Army. I'm getting sick and tired of seeing my fellow Americans die by the hands of the Russians."
"Sir, our spy told us that we are badly outnumbered when we fight them soon. If we can't find the soldiers we needed, this will be the end of America."
"There is still hope..."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm going to the Philippines. I'll be looking for soldiers who are willing to help us fight the Russian Army who killed so many innocent people."
"I understand sir, but the Philippines is a small country."
"It may be small, but I can see their fighting spirits inside their hearts. Pack your things, we're gonna look for those soldiers."
Cloud's POV
I'm lying down in my bed, scrolling and scrolling down at my phone until I saw the news about a train wreck in America.
Nakakatakot at nakakaawa at the same time. Hindi ganung kadali yung pinagdadaanan nila, thousands of people are injured and hundreds of people died in that train wreck.
"Kuya Cloud!" Pagsigaw ng kapatid ko na si Bianca na parang natatakot. I rushed towards her room and see her crying.
"Bianca, are you okay?"
"Kuya Cloud... I was dreaming that you died in a train that exploded." Sambit niya habang umiiyak. Yinakap ko siya habang nagpatuloy siya sa pag iyak.
"It's okay... It's just a dream. Kuya Cloud is not dead, okay? Stop crying na, you can go back to sleep."
"Kuya... dito ka lang. Please...?" I took a deep breath and stayed in her room until she slept.
Bumalik ako sa kwarto at humiga bago makatulog.
I woke up in an unknown city that is destroyed until I saw a train that suddenly exploded. I ran near the train and see so many people inside that train. Some are badly wounded, while others are dead.
"Put your hands up!" An unknown soldier suddenly points a gun at a kid who is defenseless. I tried to run towards him but he suddenly shot the defenseless kid who is already dead.
He turned around and looked at me. I ran away as he ran towards me. I ran as fast as I can but a gunshot was heard.
I woke up and took deep breaths because of what I dreamed. It's very haunting to be honest. But it's something I couldn't let go of my mind.
I checked the time and it's two o'clock in the morning. But I couldn't sleep because of that dream. Could it be about the train wreck that happened in America?
Three weeks later
Weeks past by and I still kept dreaming about that train wreck. Is it something I had to do with it? I got up from bed until I heard a doorbell downstairs. I rushed and saw mom talking to a foreign soldier.
"Are you Cloud Timothy Perez?"
"Yes, I am. Why?"
"I know this is quite shocking, but I am inviting you to join our army." Sambit niya na ikinalaki ng mata ko.
"Sir..."
"It's about the train wreck that happened weeks ago. And I can see you as one of my recruits in an upcoming war." A war?! Me?! A soldier?!
I have to admit, being a soldier is one of my dream. But leaving my family behind is something I can't face. Especially Bianca who is one of my closest family members.
"Sir..."
"Call me Commander Briggs. And don't worry, you're not the only soldier I'm gonna invite. Here's my number if you want to join our army." Pagbigay ni Commander Briggs ng papel kung saan nakasulat ang cellphone number niya.
"I hope you will have a chance to join us Cloud. Thank you and have a good day." Sabi niya bago umalis.
I guess this has to do with my dream I kept on having. I need to join this war. I have to find the answers.
