The cold never? Bothered me anyway?

The fire cracked as we faced each other, the bonfire in between. The tall trees' leaves were rustling as the wind blew on a cold evening.

I tugged on the jacket tighter, my lips slightly shivering from the coldness despite having a bonfire.

I pursed my lips, glaring at the man who started all of these.

"I told you earlier, we should have left before it gets dark. You didn't listen," I frowned, while he only shrugged making my jaw tick in annoyance.

I should have followed my guts, but instead, I believed this guy and ended up freezing in the middle of a forest.

My clothes were already dry a few moments ago before the sunset, including my shoes but he insisted to wait a little longer since he thought that it's still wet.

The forest was pitch dark, only the light emitting from the moon and the fire made light.

The soft rustling of leaves was heard as I buried myself further into my fetus-like position.

I grunted on why did I stay here again. I, myself do not understand how my body works, especially my brain.

Though, I was a little suspicious when Taehyung only quickly glanced at the shoes before saying it's still wet.

My lips let out a shiver and went closer to the fire to get warm. I focused my attention on warming my body, not minding the rustle nearby.

Letting out a small sigh, feeling the heat on my fingertips. I glanced around to look for Taehyung but he was nowhere in sight.

I flinched when I felt something warm behind me.

"May I? I'm really freezing here," Taehyung shivered behind me, his teeth chattering as he closed his eyes tightly.

My cheeks flushed at the thought of body contact since it's the most logical answer. I never hugged anymore, more so, a man.

An unmarried man at that.

I don't want to, but I felt guilty for being warm using his jacket while he suffered without one.

He could have just kept his jacket to make him feel warm but he insisted that I should be the one wearing it instead.

"Okay, fine," I grunted, my cheeks flushing when he neared me. I closed my eyes tightly but my brows furrowed when I felt the jacket being tugged.

I looked at Taehyung with confusion as he looked at me impatiently. "You already gave me permission to share the jacket,"

My cheeks became redder, I instantly covered my cheeks in embarrassment. "H-Here..."

Luckily our cheeks were already tainted pink from the cold, it wasn't obvious that I flushed in embarrassment.

And that's how we ended up huddling in Taehyung's jacket at night in the middle of the forest.

My mood damped when I pulled out my phone, having no signal and a dead battery too. Taehyung was way worst, he had nothing on him.

The wind blew harder, making me squirm from the harsh cold. We might get sick tomorrow, the girls would be worried sick.

I side glanced at Taehyung to see him staring blankly at the fire, his lips slightly chattering from the cold.

He muttered under his breath as he grunted at how stupid his...

I couldn't hear what he's muttering about and that made me frown a little.

He really looks cold, I took a deep breath and decided to suck it up. It's better than dying from the cold anyways.

I encircled my hand around his waist, pulling him in a tight hug taking him by surprise. I closed my eyes, avoiding making eye contact with him to avoid teasing.

I had enough headaches for today.

His body started to relax, his hands on my waist as he lifted me and made me sat on his lap, taking me by surprised this time.

"Don't complain, it's more comfortable like this," he breathed on my neck, leaning more on my body as we were in close contact.

My lips lifted when I felt warmer, butterflies fluttering all over my stomach. Ah, this must be the feeling of feeling warm despite the cold.

"I couldn't sleep because of this cold, want to talk about how you ended up here?" Taehyung suggested.

----

After a few moments of explaining, he sighed pulling me closer to his chest as I accidentally inhaled his natural scent.

It smells good...

"You know, it doesn't necessarily mean that you should change everything about you for the sake of changing your life," Taehyung spoke, rocking our body for a bit.

I closed my eyes, as I deeply sighed. "What should change then?"

"Those that brought frowns to your face," he shrugged, looking up to the starry sky with the moon above us. Shining its reflective light.

"Change is changing for the better, not another," he pointed out, making me glance up at him with an unsteady heart.

"Are you implying that I shouldn't be swayed easily, be true to what I want to be and not become another person? " I raised an eyebrow, even though he couldn't see my gesture.

"Simple as that. Why would you enter bullshit just to be screwed and used all along? Don't change to a different persona, " he scoffed in irritation.

"I'll try---"

"What do you mean try? Just do it, you're just making it harder for yourself to enjoy what life has to offer,"

"I-I'll do it. I'll find my happiness,"

"I really hope you'll find one like how I found mine," he whispered, making me whip my head in his direction. I felt his heart quicken its pace.

"Oh, what is it?" I asked curiously.

"Meeting up with someone special unexpectedly. I got to meet you, it makes me happy,"

----

I dunno...I find this kinda suspicious Taehyung. Is there a reason why you didn't want to leave, hm?

Anyways, I wanna skip on and sleep but I might get spanked on the head by my Asian mother. Oh no.

I'll attend my class now, but before I go...
