Third person's view

He was ecstactic to see the God again only to find him staring at Something on the stall as the vendor was yelling at him about something, the god not listening to him at all as he keeps on looking at the object.

The god had no mask on, him being able to see the raw emotion in his face. It twisted into a face of sadness and guilt as he looks at the object on the stall, making him wonder what it was.

The god looked ready to cry as he stares at it, his vision blurry and his hearing hazy as he picks up the item, twisting it around on his fingers, feeling the smooth scale that laid on it.

Karl caught a glimpse of the item and came closer just to see it. It was a sort of scale.

"Is it not just a normal shard?" The god mumbled out to the vendor as they started cursing at the God, saying that it is, indeed, not just a shard, but a scale of a dragon.

The god looked convinced already that it was a scale of a dragon, but he continued on insisting it wasn't a scale, but rather just a simple shard that was painted and all.

The time traveller almost wanted to slam his head on the table since it was most obviously a scale, but the way that the God looked at the scale seemed like he knew what he was doing, so he lets it slide.

He waited by his side as he listens in on the argument in front of him, the god placing on this arrogant tone that Karl could easily see pass through.

The god was only putting on this facade, convincing everyone, but him. What was this facade for?

This is how we started.

Karl only rolled his eyes at something the God said, before he saw the God pocket the scale and running off with him after he grabs his wrist.

He yelped out and ran until they stopped on a large field. The time traveller panting out and glaring at the God before straightening himself.

"What was that for?!" He yelled out as he slouches back forward, hands on his knees as he heaves his breath.

The god only looked down at him and took the scale back out again, staring at it.

"Well?!"

"I was just following history." That made the time traveller back track.

"I'm sorry?"

"I said, I was just following history." The god repeated for him once more.

"What for??" The time traveller asked, completely confused.

The god only sighed and shook his head before crossing his arms, eyebrows furrowing slightly.

"Have I not told you about not being able to break history?" He muttered out as he looks down on the ground.

"No?" The time traveller responded, making the God ponder.

Has he really not?

That was quite surprising, but it would make sense as doesn't remember the topic ever popping up earlier.

He was very forgetful, wasn't he?

"Oh. Well, I can't really break history. It will ruin the timeline and all."

"Why?"

"I don't know. It just is like that."

The time traveller was a bit unsatisfied with his answer, but nodded anyways, understanding that it wasn't really something he should be asking since it may be personal or that the God just really didn't know.

The truth is, the god just genuinely forgot how to explain it properly as there wasn't really someone who asked him that before.

Both the time traveller and God stood there, one staring at the other while one stared at the item in their hand.

He knew who this belonged to all too well.

"That's mine! Where'd you get it??"

In a stall.

"It must've fallen off... "

He shook his head as the time traveller let's an eyebrow rise.

The god merely looked at him and took out the necklace that was hidden behind his cloak, looking at the scale at the necklace that was made with the same scale.

The time traveller stared at the necklace, letting his eyes dart back and forth on the things on his hand.

"Wait... Is that from the same dragon?"
He asked, making him flinch a little at the question.

He wasn't just a dragon.

He was my friend. He is my friend.

"I always will be."

"Don't forget about me."

Karl looked at the God that kept staring at the scale, starting to get concerned with his attitude.

The god finally got hold of himself and shook his head before answering his question.

"Yeah, it came from the same person."

The time traveller nodded and looked around the field, finding it beautiful as the trees bended over to hide the small clearing they were standing on. It just felt so magical here even though it was just something hidden.

There was just something magical about hidden items that Karl didn't understand.

The god huffed a little as he wipes away a tear, Karl finally noticing the scar he had on the eye the portal's particle came was. It was in the same letter 'X' that he wondered where it came from.

The god noticed his stare as he lifted his hand to it, sighing out as he drops his arm back down.

"It's just from a small incident." He said.

The time traveller believed him as he looks up, searching for the sunlight that managed to get through the leaves of the trees that covered them.

Honestly, it just looked aesthetically pleasing to look at. Karl always loved nature, loving how green everything looked, especially in this time.

He just loved it here.

Dream XD merely looked at his hand watch, looking at the time which he memorized from the second and last time he went here. Always at the right time.

Time... Time was against him even though he can manipulate it to let him in.

"You can't have everything in the world."

But, I can have you again.

He thought to himself as the clock ticked to the very time he awaited for, walking to the opening of the clearing and sitting down right next to another figure that jolted back in seeing him.
