Third person's view
The god looked at him in shock, letting go of his hand as the other looked at him with a somber expression, an empty smile on his face.
"I waited for you to talk, what are you waiting for? You now know I remember you."
The dragon said as his eyebrow shifted downward to show his sorrow, the god completely frozen at his spot as the dragon scoffed at his silence.
"Come on. Just talk... Please... I've missed you." He said once more as he moved closer to the other, wanting to hear him talk again without saying or doing what he did in the past.
He wanted new memories with him and when he had the chance, he took it immediately, not caring about how selfish he was nor thinking of the consequences he'd make. He just want him to talk to him again like before.
He broke all boundaries for him, just to talk to him again.
"Would you do the same for me?"
The god looked up at him after he pointed his gaze down to the grass below them, finding them more interesting than the conversation.
He was trying to run away again, but the brunet wouldn't let him.
"Dream please..." He said once more, pleading for him to talk to him, to do what he did for him. To be selfish as well.
The god shook his head, trying to drown him out of his head. He didn't believe this, thinking it was just his head messing with him again and again.
He didn't want to give in.
The dragon continued to give him a pleading look, leaning towards him to grab his hand again. He knew he was having trouble with believing everything so he was willing to make him believe.
He clasped their hands together as he lifted it up to his lips, giving it a soft kiss to make him realize it wasn't just his imagination.
Unfortunately, that made the God think it was his brain doing that rather than it doing the opposite like the other expected. He didn't want to get hurt by his own brain making up stuff like this. He refused to do so.
But, what if it is real?
No. He won't accept that it's real. He's only thinking of this. Thinking that his best friend is back with him. To him.
He just can't bear that pain again.
The world can hurt him however they want, but just not this way. This was too cruel.
The dragon didn't know what to do once more, him trying to prove that this wasn't just anything his brain can conjure up out of nowhere. He wanted the god to realize it truly is him. That he returned for him.
The god shook his head as he takes his hand from the other, gripping his cloak with it as the other was left to ponder about what he could do.
But, before that, he was very concerned for his friend's state, so he stood up and wrapped his arms around his head, hugging it and letting it lean onto his body as he whispers out words that calmed the god down.
It took some time, but the God did calm down, still refusing it was real.
"Dream...? It's me... Pesménos... Have you forgotten about me...?" The dragon spoke out as he felt tears slip down his eyes to his cheeks, sniffing slightly and using one hand to wipe them away.
The god looked up at him and stood up, untangling the arms around his head as he meets the tearful gaze of the dragon before pulling him into a needed hug.
The two stayed there in silence, letting no words distract them from this moment as the wind passed both of them by.
Both kept eachother close as possible, not wanting to let go anytime soon. Both wordlessly promised that they never will leave again, knowing that their promises to eachother was never broken once which gave both the confirmation that they needed to talk once again.
"H-hello...?" The God meekly got out as he moves his head back to see the dragon's face.
The dragon only laughed out softly as he wipes away his tears as he joyfully returned the greeting.
"H-Hi!" He responded with a large smile on his face, his remaining tears being wiped away by the God who kissed his forehead softly, knowing it was a way to calm him down after everything that's happened.
They wanted to be as close as possible to each other, both missing the other in the same way.
Both wanted to give the other the affection that they wanted to give for so long, making up for lost time. It just felt so right after everything that's ever happened to them.
"You remembered me..." The dragon chimed out as he smiled at the God, running a hand through the hair that still stayed long even after time have passed by.
"How could I ever forget?" The god chuckled out as he ruffled his hair, hearing a while from him.
He never liked it when he did that, always complaining about how long it took him to fix his hair in the first place.
"DREAM! YOU KNOW I HATE IT WHEN YOU DO THAT!" He exclaimed, making the God laugh out and ruffle his hair again, the dragon's hands flailing around on top of his head so he can swat at the other's hands, their hug seperating at this moment.
Both loved little moments like these, they missed it. They missed each other.
The god finally stopped with the dragon's hair, the latter having to fix his hair again while mumbling out curses at the God.
It made the God chuckle once more as he stared at the other, nothing much changing the dragon at all. He still looked the same as he lost him. Beautiful.
The dragon caught his eye and raised a brow, putting his hands back slowly to the side of his hips.
"What?" He asked out, eyes going up and down to study the God.
The god only shook his head and lend a hand out, the dragon taking it immediately with no hesitation. He lifted their hands up to his lips to plant a small kiss on the dragon's hand, the latter rolling his eyes while biting back a smile, only to fail horribly.
"Let's make me memories together, okay? No time will separate us ever again." He promised the dragon as the other nodded.
"No time will separate us ever again..."
