"There once was a lass
Born from the sea
No one knows where she came from
Or how she came to be
Every sailor who crossed her path
Fell over themselves
To get just a glance"It was these nights
That Kai loved dearly
And held close to her heart
When her crewmates
Her friends
Pulled out some old somewhat dusty instruments
And set up barrels in a circle
So they could gather round
Illuminated by the stars
The crew weren't the best singers
But that didn't stop them
The ale certainly didn't help
But it made the laughter pour out all the easier
Anyone not playing a tune
Or singing along
Was usually swept off their feet
And pulled into a dance
"She's been gone for several years
And no one can tell where she's gone off to
To this day"Kai and Amaia had their fair share of dancing
And someone tried to teach Kai how to handle a fiddle
But in the end she stuck to clapping along
And trying to sing
"There once was a lass
Born from the sea
No one knows where she came from
Or how she came to be
All the ladies
Wished to find her
And they all went to sea"It was nights like these
That the drinks did not stop flowing
And they watched the stars until they faded with the morning sun
The sea was calm
And they had nowhere to be
There were no other ships on the horizon
So they went to bed after the sun was rising
The tunes from the night still being hummed
"They've been gone for several years
And the sailors can only wish
To see the several lasses come forth
From the sea"
