Luke cut Ethan off sharply, unnecessary anger pooling in his gut. "Yes I'm sure!"
The idea of facing his mother... terrified him. Perhaps more than facing Annabeth after all the horrible things he had- no. They weren't horrible, he couldn't let himself think like that! Kronos would be taking over his body too soon... far too soon for him to let those sorts of thoughts paint his mind.
"Okay then," Ethan mumbled.
"Go pack." Luke demanded.
"Got it- I guess. We're leaving now?"
"That is the idea."
"Why are you so mad?" Ethan asked, raising an eyebrow.
Calm down Luke. Luke's mind demanded. The anger seemed to spill out of him almost immediately.
"Don't know..." he answered slowly, before shaking his head in an attempt to clear it. "Whatever. Please just... go pack."
"Sure thing boss." Ethan answered, grinning and turning back.
What in Hades are you doing to me?
