three months later

it's been three months since tony's been missing and obadiah has been running the company to the best of his ability.

i on the other hand have been declining offers from multiple companies to be the personal assistant of the ceo. i have kept tony's house in check, made sure all of his bills are paid and that it's clean for when he makes his return.

i have been a mess since tony was captured, i haven't slept in hopes someone would call with good news, i've barely eaten, and i haven't left the house. if i was being honest i missed his annoying ass, i had no one to talk to and nothing to do, he took up a lot of my time and now i had absolutely no one.

as i was cleaning his kitchen counter jarvis spoke "miss y/l/n you have an incoming call from james rhodes" he says "answer it j" i say.

"y/n you there" he asks "yeah rhodey" i respond still scrubbing the counter "we found tony" he announces and i stop scrubbing "you better not be joking because if you are i will fuck you up" i say through my tears and he chuckles "happy will pick you up in an hour be ready" he says before the call ends, i quickly i finish cleaning his counters and put all of the supplies away.

i walk upstairs into my room and walk into the bathroom, i shower and do my routine before i fix my hair.

i walk out of the bathroom and into my room to get dressed, i choose something a little more professional since i would be around in the military.

"miss y/l/n mr hogan is here" jarvis announces, i smile and grab my purse and briefcase before walking out of the bedroom.

i walk out of the house and see happy in the front of the car i smile at him and he smiles back "you look like you've seen better days" he comments and i shoot him a playful glare before getting in the car.

we drive to the military airport in silence as
i make a couple of calls and thank the people for their help and concern.

when we get there i get out of the car and stand in front of the car and pray that tony's back in once piece, when i'm done praying i look up and see a plane come into view and i smile.

the plane lands and the doors open, i see tony sitting in a wheel chair and i can't help but shed tears of joy and breathe a sigh of relief. i quickly wipe my tears as tony walks down the walk way of the plane.

tony walks up to me and i smile, he looks like shit but he's still himself. "your eyes are red, a few tears for your long lost boss" he asks and i smile even harder "i was worried about you, like always" i say sniffling lightly and he chuckles.

i thank rhodey for saving him before getting into the car, tony slides in next to me and closes his door "happy can we go to the hospital please" i ask "no no we're not doing that i've been held captive for three months and i want a cheese burger and a press conference, hogan drive" he says and i roll my eyes.

we get tony his cheese burger as i set up his press conference and immediately news outlets agree to meet at stark industries.

we soon arrive at stark industries and i get out before tony and follow him into the building where employees wave at him.

i step next to obadiah and he gives me a look "isn't that dress a little too tight" he asks and i remain calm "mister stane the way i dress should not be any of your concern because if i remembered right i don't work for you i work for mister stark" i said before i walked off to stand in the back of the conference.

"miss y/l/n" i hear beside me and i see a man dressed in a suit "yes" i ask "can i speak with your for a moment" he asks "oh i'm not apart of this press conference but it is about to start right now" i respond "i'm not a reporter, i'm agent phil coulson with the strategic homeland intervention enforcement and logistics division" he said and i nod slowly "that's a lot" i say as he hands me a card "i know we're working on it" he states "we've been approached by the the dod, the fbi and the cia" i state "were a separate division with a more specific focus, we need to debrief mr stark on the circumstances of his escape" he says and i nod "i'll write that down" and he nods saying a quick thank you before walking away.

i sit through the press conference and sit in shock as tony decides to shut down the weapons and manufacturing division at the company.

when the press conference ends tony walks through the crowd and to me, he grabs my arm and leads me out of the building and into the car, "tony are you sure this is what you want to do" i ask and he sighs "too many people are dying because of what i'm creating, at first i thought i was making something good, being like good ol' dad, changing the world and then i realized that world hates me because of what i created" he says and i frown slightly "tony if it's what you see best go with it" i say and he nods smiling at me.

when we get back to the house y/n unlocks the door and we both walk in, i notice the place looks exactly like we left it "you cleaned didn't you" i asked and she nods slowly before facing me "i clean when i'm stressed" she admits and i chuckled.

i walk up to her and she looks up at me "but seriously i'm glad you're ok" she admits and i smile "you missed me didn't you" i ask and she rolls her eyes walking away "if i did i wouldn't admit it" she states and i chuckle"rhodey told me all about your little call with the senator, you really scared the man, he called the general right after you called him" i say and she laughs lightly "what can i say, i'm an intimidating woman" she said and i smiled.

i walk over to her and grab her arm turning her around "really though thank you because if you hadn't of made that call i would have been stranded in a desert and died a horrendous death" i admit and she smiles "you're welcome stark" she says patting my chest.
