i was on the phone with burt when tony walked in with flowers, i held my finger up before continuing the conversation "it was an illegal seizure of tony's property, listen it's our job to make sure he maintains proprietary ownership of the mark 2 suit" i state "we'll talk at the expo justin hammer has a presentation and no tony, tony will not be there bye" i say before putting the phone down.
"do you have a minute" he asks as he sits down "no" i retort and he frowns "you just got off the phone come on thirty seconds" he asks and i look at my watch "twenty nine" i state.
" i thought i was coming over here to apologize but i'm not" he states and i look at him "oh so you're not here to apologize" i ask "look i haven't been entirely upfront with you" he says and i turn my head to the side "no really" i ask "do you know how short life is" he starts "and if i never got to express here what i'm trying to say, i'm just going to say it" he rambles "i'm going to stop you right there , if you say i one more time i'm going to jump across this table and hit you" i start "i'm trying to run the company that you were meant to run, people are expecting you to be iron man and you've gone mia and what i'm doing is taking the heat for it" i finished and he sit there in silence.

"did you bring me roses" i ask looking at the big bouquet sitting on my desk "you brought me my favorite flower" i state looking up at him and he smiles "see i knew there was a correlation between and this, this is progress y/n" he says "look i need you" he starts "i need to leave tony" i interrupt and he just looks at me and i look back at him.
"ms. y/l/n" natalie says opening my door "hi come in" i say and she walks in "wheels up in 25 minutes" she announces and i nod "anything else boss" happy asks "no i'll be-" "no i'm good happy" tony and i start at the same time" "just another minute" i finish.
"i thought you two didn't like each other" tony asks and i look at him "no but maybe you and natalie can discuss the matter of your personal belongings" i say before smiling at natalie. "also natalie could you put those roses in some vases please" i ask and she nods.
i walk out of my office and walk with happy to the car "you alright" happy asks and i nod "yeah i'm fine" i reply and he nods as he opens the car door for me, i get in and he shuts the door before he puts natalie and my bags in the car.
natalie gets in beside me and i smile at her "tony's going to be fine if that's what you're worried about" she assures and i smile. "thank you i really do appreciate all of your help" i thank and she smiles.
the next chapter will be pretty long that's why i made the last two really short but chapter 20 should be out tonight ! ~ brielle <3
