"You're fucking joking."

Noya shook his head as he played with his whiteboard markers, building a tower by connecting the caps and ends of each marker together. You slump back in your chair as you run your fingers through your hair and let out a sigh of unease.

Turning back to face Noya, you opened your mouth, to which he pushed his index finger against your lips and said, "Why would I joke about this?"

You nodded and he retracted his finger from your lips. "Is there anything we can do about it?" you asked as you rest your hand on your chin.

"I don't think so, I mean Tanaka is the one who got caught." Noya placed his last dry erase marker on top of the others and knocked them all down.

"Yeah, but the vice principal shouldn't make him clean the entire locker room because he threw wet paper towels at our substitute teacher."

Noya snickered as you recall exactly what Tanaka did. You hold back your laughs as well as you playfully punch Noya's arm and say, "Come on, it's not funny."

"Oh yes, it is," he responds, laughing as you giggle alongside him. The bell rings and you turn around in your seat, watching as your history teacher enters the classroom.

"Today, we're going to watch a film about Mahatma Gandhi. Tanaka, since you're next to the light switch, please turn off the lights," she says, turning to Tanaka's empty desk.

"Where is he?" She asks as you meet Kurumi's eyes and burst out laughing. Kurumi watches in humored concern as you clutch your stomach and lean forward, resting your forehead on the desk as you try to collect yourself.

"(Y/n), do you know where Tanaka is?" Your teacher asks, to which you look up at her and meet Kurumi's surprised expression. He smiles as xe shakes his head and chuckles to themself, turning around in their seat to face the front of the classroom.

You clear your throat and say, "He's with the vice principal right now."

Your teacher sighed as she shook her head and walked across the room. Turning off the lights, she returned to her desk and started the film. You yawned as you leaned back in your seat and crossed your arms.

Leaning all the way back in your chair, you rested your head on Noya's desk and looked up at him. Although he was glad to spend time with you, Noya found himself growing nervous around you, causing a blush to seep through his cheeks.

"So, ready for practice today?" you whispered as he nodded and began combing through your hair. You close your eyes as he plays with the strands, twirling them around his finger before withdrawing his hand and combing your hair with his whole hand.

He moved his non-dominant hand to support his chin, resting his head on a fist, and brushed your locks with his fingertips. You grinned at the touch of his hand aimlessly running through your hair.

"We're going back to Tokyo this weekend," Noya mumbled through his palm. You nod as you kept your eyes closed and listen to the movie playing.

The sun was shining through your eyelids, causing a nearly blinding light to seep into your vision. You covered your eyes with your forearm as Noya began messing with the ring on your finger.

You let him play with it for the rest of class before the bell rang and your teacher turned the lights back on. Groaning, you sat up in your seat and stretched your legs and arms.

Looking at the time on the clock, you realized you still had about twelve minutes until your next class began as you had a break in between your World History and Literature classes. Standing up, you grab some cardstock and colored paper from the front of the classroom and return to your desk.
