"Shut up," Noya giggled as he threw a wad of paper at you, gently hitting your shoulder. Grabbing the same ball of crumpled paper, you tossed it back at Noya, hitting him in the chest.

"Okay, okay, okay," you settled down, "What were you saying?"

It was Saturday afternoon, and you had arrived just a short hour ago to study with Noya at his house. Although, you weren't really studying, more so messing around.

You were seated on Noya's full-sized bed while he was seated at his desk just next to the bed, the desk adjacent to the headboard.

"I was saying," Noya put his hand on his chest dramatically, "you look very cute today."

You tilted your head, half-teasingly glaring at your boyfriend, a smile trickling into your expression, both of you trying not to laugh as you made eye contact.

"Okay, well I'm hungry. I'll be right back," you announced as you hopped off Noya's bed and exited his room.

"Don't die!" You heard a muffled holler as you closed the door behind you.

Walking down the stairs, you went towards the familiar kitchen in the back of the house and crossed the tiled floor to search the fridge for something to eat.

Rummaging through the content of the fridge, you found yourself eyeing a box of croissants that were recently bought by Noya's grandfather at a local bakery. Walking across the kitchen, you opened the cabinet with plates in it and grabbed one from the lowest shelf.

Returning to the counter where you left the croissants, you opened the box and pulled out two croissants.

Placing them on the plate that sat on the counter, you returned the box of croissants to its place in the fridge and grabbed the plate in preparation to return to Noya's bedroom.

Walking down the hall and back up the stairs, you opened Noya's bedroom door that was at the top of the stairs and slightly to the left. Turning the handle, you swung the door open and stepped foot into the room.

"AHH!" You heard someone shout from behind the door as you jumped back in surprise, letting out a small shriek in fear. Clutching the plate you held, you looked behind the door to see Noya giggling at your frightened reaction.

"Stop, I could have dropped my croissant," you complained as Noya let out a roaring laugh.

"Sorry," Noya said in between stifled laughter, "your reaction was priceless, though."

Rolling your eyes, you laughed the scare off and returned to your seat on Noya's bed.

Instead of taking the seat he was at before, Noya plopped down next to you on his bed, lying down and knitting his fingers together behind his head, watching as you put the plate on your lap.

"Want a croissant?" you asked Noya as he nodded and opened his mouth.

"I'm too tired to get up, feed me!" Noya exclaimed as he opened his mouth even wider, watching as you grabbed one of the two croissants and tore a piece off.

"Fine, open your mouth."

You giggled as Noya watched the croissant in your hand move closer to him. Starting to chuckle as his eyes followed the croissant, Noya held back a smile as he tried shifting his head so that his mouth was closer to the food.

"Stop laughing!" you scolded as you chuckled and threw your hands up in lighthearted frustration.

"Sorry, sorry! I can't help it," Noya apologized as you returned to the task of feeding Noya the croissant.

Eventually, Noya ate the croissant with your aid. The two of you were both pretty hungry, so you ate the snack hastily, procrastinating doing your work once you were done.

After another hour of messing around and completing minimal studying, you became exhausted at the amount of energy expelled from attempting to work your brain.

"I wanna take a fat nap right now," you stated as you threw yourself against Noya's bed, lying down on the soft covers.

"You can go to sleep here if you want," Noya replied, sitting next to you on the bed, his legs dangling off the side.

Smiling, you pulled Noya by the arm to lay down next to you. As he settled in, you ripped open the covers and slipped your legs under the blanket. Noya did the same and covered himself with the blanket, too.

"Goodnight," you mumbled as Noya smiled to himself and wrapped his arms around your torso, nuzzling his face into your chest. He pushed his arms up and around your body, pulling you into a hug as his hands were now caressing your back.

There was a sense of security found in that moment that is extremely rare and few people find. Although neither of you knew what this feeling was quite yet, you knew it was there and that you felt at home.

Home is where the heart is, after all.

Wrapping your arms around Noya, you began running your fingers through the back of his hair as your other hand gently rested on his shoulder blade.

Noya let out a long sigh, releasing any tension that was held in his body. You knew that he was not sighing out of stress, but it still took your attention at how big of a breath he held. You subconsciously did the same and took a lengthy inhale, feeling the cold rush of air as the breath left your lungs.

Hearing the subtle beat of your heart palpitations in your chest, Noya felt himself slowly falling deeper into unconsciousness as the rhythmic beat sang him to sleep.

Alongside Noya's calming presence, you also felt a sense of peace and calm as your eyelids began to become heavy and you eventually shut your eyes.

You continued to run your fingers through Noya's hair and hold him with your arm as if you were pulling him closer and not letting go.

"Noya," you whispered, earning a guttural hum from the boy as you opened your eyes to stare at the ceiling.

"Let's travel the world together," you continued, "I want to see everything with you."

You felt his cheekbones press against your skin as his lips pulled up into a smile. Nuzzling even closer to you, Noya nodded in agreement.

"I couldn't have said it better myself."

Letting out a satisfied exhale, you gently shut your eyes as you felt sleep dawn upon your mind, slowing down your thought process to the pace that included simple thoughts about complex ideals.

To be continued...
