Three days later
Abby and Kelsea were about to head to lunch when they were stopped by James Sr and James.
"What are you two doing here?" Abby said
"We came to talk to her but we also wanted to talk to you?" James said
"There's nothing that needs to be said." Kelsea said
"We just wanted to apologize." James said
"You can take your apology and shove it up your ass." Abby said
"What did you do with the money?" James Sr said
"Oh you mean the 30 grand I put it into a savings account in my son's name it was a nice starter amount towards his college fund. So thanks for paying for your grand son's college fund." Kelsea said
"Don't you dare call him my grandson he isn't my grandson. We did what we had to do to protect our family and my grandson's reputation." James Sr said
"Grandpa! Stop meddling in my business! I don't need your help!" Bucky said behind them.
Kelsea rolled her eyes. "I'm about two seconds from calling security if you three don't leave. I have no business with you three." She said
When they refused to leave security escorted them out. Just as they were about to leave again another voice was heard.
"Kelsea Franklin."
She turned to see a man with piercing blue eyes.
"Yes that's me." She said
"I'm Lincoln Franklin I'm your father." Lincoln said
Security came back in. "Ma'am everything okay?"
"Yeah.." she said as she led Lincoln upstairs with Abby on her heels.
When they got up to her office she leaned against her desk as Abby stayed at the door.
"Anything you have to say you can say in front of her. But I get to ask the first question Mr Franklin? How did you find me?" She said
"Lincoln call me Lincoln. And I saw you in the papers and you look so much like your mother Sylvia. I knew it was you the baby she was carrying." He said
"What happened? Why did you leave her pregnant?" Kelsea said
"It wasn't what you think. I was in the military I was deployed a few weeks after we found out we were having you. I had a ring for your mother to give her when I returned. But I was sent out out top secret orders where I wasn't allowed to check in for a year. During that time I guess your mother gave up on us. When I returned home the place she was living was rented to new people and I had no idea where to find you two. I just prayed that you both were alright. I know how it looks to you Kelsea but I wanted us to be a family. Your mother where is she?" Lincoln said
Kelsea wiped tears. "Mom died about 6 or 7 years ago from a brain aneurysm." She said
He looked down. "I'm living in Jersey. You have family Kelsea when you are ready you come to me there is so many people that want to meet you." Lincoln said as he laid a piece of paper with his contact information on it on her desk.
"Thank you." She said
"Welcome." He said and he left.
Abby shut the door. "Talk about a day." She said
Kelsea saw the time as she blinked away tears. "Yeah let's go eat while we still have time." She said and they left for lunch.
