"Good, now you have learned the basics, we can begin the basics of bending.", said Kallik.
Pana nodded.
Pana had never been a serious person, but these past few weeks changed that. He was training with all his power and it really showed. His muscles had grown, but his endurance was astounding.  He'd never have thought that he was capable. He used to give up so easily.
But kallik wouldn't let him.
She was harsh, but when she saw him wavering, she'd knock him down and as strange as that sounded, he actually felt encouraged to try harder. So he did.
And his confidence did too.
Only, after hearimg the word bending, he was doubting himself again.
"Well? Show me something?", Kallik asked.
Pana didn't want to hesitate, so he bended some water out of the ice and made it evaporate.
Kallik was not impressed at all.  "Is this all you're got?"
Pana knew he had to show her the most andvancrd technique he knew. So he tried to do the whip... and failed. The water got up like a whip, but as soon as the movement required his second hand, it just turned to falling water.
He saw the utter disappointment on Kalliks face and uttered: "It is hard to bend with only one hand, if... if I still had my other hand then it would be easier to..."
But he got cut off by Kallik, who just had to raise her hand to shut him up.
"Pathetic.", was the only word she spoke. And Pana was heartbroken. He had never been able to discribe the feelking he got from this. It was a mix of shame, hate, annoyance and sadness, he felt every time he looked at his hand. But this feeling he got from Kallik was somehow worse. "Bending is just out of the question for me.consider me a non-bender.", he wispered.
"Don't flatter yourself. Non-benders can at least take out a bender army if they trained hard enough. You aren't even on their level"
Azula felt something, something she hated. The thought of Mai and Tai Lee made her want to burn cities down and let them acknowledge how powerful she is. But even then, she would know, they wouldn't follow her again.
The words they dared to speak now were terrible and it did someting to her. She rememberd Tai Lee saying Azula still scared her. But it wasn't like it used to. She used to be afraid  of her power, her resolve, her utter brilliance. But now the word fear was spoken like Tai Lee was just disguested by Azula.
As was her mom.
As is everyone eventually.
"Are you done feeling sorry for youself? You were never my friend!", Tai Lee screamed. How did she get here? Was it an image again like her mom? Should she ignore it again?
"You were never powerful, only a fool", Mai said, now standimg behind Azula.
Azula spun around looking Mai in the eyes. It seemed real.
"Kallik?", Pana asked, as he watched her look on in the distance. But he got no response.
"Azula, stop lying to yourself, you are a monster. Dressing up like kid stealing ghosts really suited you. Maybe try a veil next time?", Tai Lee laughed.
"That way, people might find you pleasant", Mai added.
Azula knew that these had to be fake, right? There would be no way they came from the firenation to the north pole for no good reason.
But the things they said hurt.
But Azula knew that hiding the images and people she saw would be best. No one could know her weakness.
"I don't think you are a monster", her mother whispered.
"SHUT UP! All of you shut up! You don't even look like that anymore! You forgot me!", Azula screamed.
At that moment, Pana couldn't just stand by. He knew something was wrong with Kallik. Something more servere the he was lead to believe. As Kallik screamed in the void, Pana bended some water into his palm and pressed it on Kalliks head from behind her.
He closed his eyes, breathed in and out. She will not like this at all. But she just closed her eyes and fel, right into Pana.
Pana carried her home.
His mother tried to help him, but he didn't let her. He stayed by the girls side till morning came. As she woke up, he just stat next to her. "Don't worry, I won't tell nor judge.", was the only thing he could say. Kallik flinched, but got her composure back just as fast. "I have seen a blind girl bending mud while holding down a drill", Kallik said coolly.
