Willow stood in her power damping cell, eyes wandering trying to find a way out. There had to be a way out of this prison. Wait nevermind, this laboratory.

"We're not holding you prisoners in here," the scientists kept telling them, "We're simply experimenting with your powers. Seeing what your limitations are. You will all be free before you know it."

Willow knew those scientist were full of it. She had been here more than two months already. No wait, it had been three months. It had been three months since Ember, Damien, Sawyer and her had been kidnapped on a mission and kept in this lab like guinea pigs. The scientists, whose names Willow hadn't bothered to remember, claimed that they had been watching them on missions, and that they wanted to study their powers, figure out how they worked. Of course, when the four of them weren't being electrocuted and forced to use their powers, they were kept in power dampening cells that didn't allow them to use their powers. Willow had tried countless times to use her wind powers to escape, but it was no use. She was rendered completely powerless and useless in here, and that was a feeling she hated.

Sawyer was meditating. He was trying to get a connection to the outside world. Sawyer was gifted with powers that connected him to the earth. These powers allowed him to control nature around him. It also gave him the ability to communicate with the earth. What only Sawyer knew was that just like other living things, nature had a soul. Nature had a voice, but only Sawyer could hear it. However, the longer Sawyer was in the lab, the more his connection dampened. He could hardly hear the voice of the trees anymore. Despite this, he continued to meditate hoping to strengthen his connection. He was hopeful that if he could get a connection, he'd be able to get himself and his friends out of here. He may have been born in a lab, but by no means did he want to die in one.

The main scientist, the creepy one with the moustache, walked into the room where the four teenage heroes were being kept. Damien instantly snarled at him. Damien was beyond sick of this creep. Damien really hated this guy. He hated the way this guy kidnapped the four of them and kept them as slaves. Damien hated the way he ruthlessly tortured them to use their powers, and chuckled when they finally did. Damien hated his stupid bald head, and his dumb white lab coat. Damien especially hated that stupid, stupid moustache. Next to the scientist though was a man Damien didn't recognize. It wasn't one the the scientists Damien's seen a million times before who worked with Dr. Evil Moustache, as Damien called him. Instead this guy looked more like a hippie who escaped from the woodstock festival. He glanced over at his friends and he saw Sawyer shaking.

Confused, Damien looked back over to the hippie guy and asked in an annoyed tone, "Who are you?"

"My name Dr. Isaiah Samuels," Mr. Hippie said, "I created Sawyer."

Damien looked back at Sawyer who was clearly trying to hide his fear. Sawyer told them before about how he was created in a lab by some weird tree huggers. About how they experimented on him for years. About how they threw him out on the street when they were done with him. Sawyer always told them how he had moved on from that experience, but they could still see his scars. Damien immediately became flooded with anger. This man was the reason Sawyer woke up in the middle of the night screaming.

Dr. Evil Moustache smirked evilly while saying, "Dr. Samuels here, was explaining to us how Mr. Walker was created. How his earth powers work. He also told us how to potentially take them away. That information is really quite valuable for the next step in our plan."

It took everything inside of Damien to keep his temper from boiling over.

"What plan?" He asked through gritted teeth.

Dr. Evil Moustache had a look on his face that was so smug Damien wanted to slap it right off of him.

"Well you see," Dr. Evil Moustache started to explain, "ever since your little...superhero gang showed up in Champion City people have started to wonder: What if I had superpowers? People have simply gone crazy by the notion that they could control the elements the way you teenagers can. So my team and I figured we could give people their dreams and make some money in the process."
