The tool recipes I had already had were a bit flimsy since I was using delicate natural resources, so I had to craft them once again when they broke. I had already memorized the recipe for one of them, and I was getting pretty bored, So I decided to draw and Cherry on the back of it.

I was already feeling like I had accomplished so many things just on the second day. It was so overwhelming but amazing, I finally felt motivated to live everyday here.

"Hey, Y/N!" Timmy gushed. "Hi Tommy, What's up?" I waved. "Well, It's only been a day but I wanted to congratulate you on your DIY recipe skills. It's really impressive! I see you catch a TON of bugs and fishes with your tools, so I'm letting you know that at the resident services you can sell the things you find here! We'll gladly take them off your hands." I thanked him and caught some more butterflies for a few more minutes. I decided to sell the stuff I found, and walked into the tent. I was greeted by Tom. "Ah, Y/N! Hello, hello. What would you like to talk to me about? I'm all ears!"

"I found a creature! I'm here to sell it." I told him.

"Oh, what a catch! I do believe this is a tiger butterfly." He stood there in silence, thinking. "Y/N, I have an idea!" He bursted. "An old friend of mine runs a museum, and I'd love to send it to him to take a closer look. Would you be ok with that?" I nodded. "I-I also have more creatures! I have them kept in these containers." I handed the containers to him. "Yes, yes, thank you! I hope you'll keep bringing me new discoveries to examine. It's all part of the island experience!". I thanked him and he put the containers aside to send them to his friend later. As I started to walk out, someone's phone started ringing!

"Someone's calling!" Tom bursted. He took the NookPhone out of his pocket and answered it.

"Blathers, Is that you? Oho, what splending timing! Do you remember the project we discussed? Well, it's finally coming to reality! Right now, I'm on this island- our new island, that we've decided to call Evergreen!"

I heard mumbling coming from the phone.

"Mhhmm.. Yes! And I have received... Let's see.. more than 5 outstanding creatures!"

The person—, well.. I guess thing, or animal, kept the conversation going. They seemed to be really interested!

"Mmhmm.. Yep... What?! Seriously?!" Tom yelled. "That's amazing! Oh, If you'll excuse me, I'm with a customer right now, I'll talk to you soon!" He hung up and turned to me. "Y/N! That was my friend Blathers, the one that runs the museum! Good news, he's interested and is going to come to our island to help us identify and preserve the local creatures!"

Cool, this meant we could start a museum sometime soon!

"Ah, but I could use your help..." He said while handing me a tent wrapped around in a bag. "Since you've already done so much scouting and collecting already, would you be able to find a spot for Blathers?"

ANOTHER ANIMAL STAYING HERE?!

"We'll need a good sized space to really build out our world class museum, so do keep that in mind. This is exciting! It's all finally coming together, yes yes!"

I left the tent and placed Blathers' tent down. I was already EXHAUSTED from setting down so many nails, boxes and walls, so I sat down and admired the beautiful sunset sky. Shortly after, I decided to get up and take a walk. There were lots of cherry trees and pines. I was distracted by the scenery, and then I snapped myself out of it. I continued walking, and I found myself at the island pier with the airport connected to it. My point of view shifted to the giant blue ocean. I've always been scared of water, especially the dark.. deep.. ocean... Really, you could slip in and struggle to get up in the cold freezing water and then, bam, you're drowning. I was in the middle of nowhere surrounded by the literal ocean. I got distracted in my thoughts and started visualizing my worst fears of the ocean. Unconsciously, I kept on walking towards the pier. I get distracted easily, so it was impulsive. I blinked and instantly snapped out of it.

'AAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIHHHHH" I screeched in fear. I was facing the ocean, and the only thing separating us was a small thin railing from the pier. The speedy wind blew on my face and tangled my hair. I started panicking and panting, while

staring incredulously at one of my worst fears. My hands clenched the railings tightly, holding on for my life. One of my feet got pushed up by the power of the wind, Throwing me up higher and closer to the water. I threw myself back and let my feet touch the wooden floor. I let go and slowly backed away. It all happened in a few seconds, but it was all so frightful. I was okay, on the ground, away from the ocean. Deep breaths. I suddenly remembered what I was going to do. Sit down, enjoy the view, and take a nap, yes! I should calm down after that...

I sat on the beach beside a palm tree. The wind cooled down a bit. I cleared my thoughts, and as clear as they were mere moments ago, they were coming to an end. My eyes grew heavy from the exhausting and exciting day of island work. Zzz.....
