The day of Peter's birthday celebration had arrived and Katherine, despite all the stress of preparations, could not help but keep a giddy smile on her face. After Peter had proposed to her they had stayed on the beach for a while before retiring to her room together, this however also meant that Peter had had to sneak out of her room in the early hours with their new trellis to avoid suspicion, they had both agreed it would be better to announce their engagement after Peter's birthday, Peter had hinted it would be best if the guests had all returned home before they did so.

Which Katherine didn't mind because she honestly had always wanted her marriage to be a quiet affair. She loved all of her friends very dearly but somewhere very faintly Katherine could remember a strong feeling of wanting a small wedding with just her and her partner's close family, and the Pevensies of course. But now that Peter was royalty, that was weird to think of she couldn't remember when Peter hadn't been royalty.

A sharp pang drove through her head, sometimes when Katherine tried to think to far back she would get migraines. So she hadn't bothered to think of them for a while. But because Peter was royalty she knew that their wedding would be a big event and probably internationally recognized to, it just seemed a little overbearing to her. So she was glad her and Peter would celebrate their engagement quietly. Katherine had always wanted a quiet life with someone, a life where her and her significant other could go through life's adventures together, she didn't want her relationship to be constantly watched by the public.

The day after he had proposed Katherine had been in a daze, she hadn't paid much attention to her surroundings and during the afternoon she had gone on a long ride with Raiden and told him the news because not only had Raiden travelled with her to all the other countries and constantly stayed by her side, he also was one of her closest companions and in battle or not, they understood each other on a more personal level, they eight years of bonding to prove it. Also, she had to admit, she doubted anyone would go and try talk to her horse about why she might be off that day and anyway Raiden would never tell anyone about a secret of hers.

So after a very uneventful yesterday it was no wonder as to why she was so stressed now. She had chased Peter out of her room last night when she had seen the mound of paperwork that had been left on her desk for her to sort out by the next day. She had just come out of the bath and her nightdress had clung close to her body as she had half pushed him off her balcony.

"Go!" she had told him, frustrated after he wouldn't budge, his chest felt warm under her hands as she tried to get him to grab onto the trellis.

"You can't distract me any further today!" she huffed as she pushed against his hard chest, trying to get him to budge. He let out a deep chuckle that reverberated through his chest, the vibrations sending shivers up her spine.

"So you were thinking about me?" He began with a tease, "Am I really that much of a distraction?"

"Yes" she had groaned as she rolled her eyes and continued to push against him, "It's a hopeless case"

After one last push, that did result in Peter using the trellis to stabilize himself, she let out an exasperated sigh and walked back into her room. She peeked back through the balcony entrance to see Peter still standing on the opposite side with a rouge grin, waving him off with her one hand she moved back into her room and sat down at her desk. Facing a pile of paper almost her height she sighed and pulled down the first document of the stack before reading over the detail. After circling a few choices she signed and placed it to the left of the pile.

"This is going to be a long night" She muttered to herself.
