Brian was smiling. "Figured I'd come to you since you won't come to us" he said looking at Lydia.

"As you can see I'm very busy" she concentrated on her job, turning the soup or pudding or yellow soup pudding that was really pissing her off.

"You don't need to apologise. I understand Mr Barlow can be a little crazy at times" he said, still stalling.

"Is there anyway I can be of help to you sir?" Lydia asked politely.

"Name's Brian" he said and she smirked as a reply. "And yes, you can be of help to me" he concluded. No reply from Lydia. "I just want to know you more alright. I'm really friendly and pals with all the other staffs here and I just found out you're new" he tried explaining.

"So much for joblessness uhn?" Lydia asked.

"Ooooooh" the rest of them said like a school thing and Brian tilted his head to the right, grinning from ear to ear.

"You know I like your type" he said.

"Yeah? Why is that?"

"Funny you should ask" he smirked widely.

"What do you wanna know Brian?" She said, fed up.

"She can be pretty straightforward" Rachael warned Brian.

"You've gotta get something straight. Rachael here is pretty leg over heels crushing on you..." Lydia pointed out.

"No, I'm not!" Rachael quickly corrected, interrupting her.

"Yes you are. She wouldn't stop talking to me about you and how badly she wanted me to meet you and something about all girls dying to be in my shoes. So, if I where you I'll be hitting on her" Lydia pointed at Rachael, who was blushing crazily.

"And who told you that was my intention?" Brian asked and his gang went "ooooooh" again.

Lydia thanked fate for placing her hands firmly on the spoon turning the pudding, she'd have slapped those boys a long time ago.

"Like I told you before I just wanna be acquainted. You know what? Me and my friends are hosting a small bash tonight at this beach, and you're invited. Would you come?" He asked.

"Of course, we would. How could we say no to an exciting invitation, right?" Rachael quickly said turning the Lydia for a yes. Lydia didn't reply so she added; "Lydia?"

"I--"
"Right!" Brian said and with a mischievous wink, left with his three wingmen.

"I'll be expecting you Lydia" one of them said with an Indian accent, Lydia noticed, as they bounced out.

"Hey! Ger outta here doop-holes!" Mr Barlow yelled at them from behind as they bounced off majestically.

"Hey ger yen yen yen doop- holes" Brian mimicked and they all laughed.

"More like doo hoes" another one said and they laughed.

"Roger Mr Borrow!" The one with the Indian accent said and they burst out laughing in crescendo.

Lydia couldn't help but smile, she couldn't believe anyone could stand up to Mr Barlow from what she learnt of him in the past ten hours, they were really brave and stupid of course, she regarded, because they won't be able to step a foot inside this bar for at least a week. Silly boys.

After another hour of completing their shifts, Lydia and Rachael changed to their regular clothes and where ready to leave the bar. Lydia sighted Mr Barlow packing the soup inside a big cooler, grumbling some words. Lydia became nervous all of a sudden, maybe he had found out that the yellow soup got burnt and was grumbling annoyingly. She quickly ran past him without letting him know she was leaving.

"Hey Lydia wait up" Rachael called from behind as she caught up with Lydia in the field.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know you were following behind" Lydia said.

"It's okay, so where do you stay?"

"The brink hotel" Lydia replied then remembered their discussion with Brian. "What was that all about in the bar with Brian and his friends?"

"It's just a party invitation Lydia and he means no harm. You're not allergic to a party are you?" Rachael asked.

"No---" Lydia paused with that reply, leaving her mouth half open. Rachael was right, she thought, it was just a party. Why was she thinking about not coming or coming for a party at all? This is the vacation you always wanted Lydia! Beach! Music! Partying! Drinking! Have fun! Fool around if you even wanna.........

"You're coming right?" Rachael asked her, wondering why Lydia's mouth was half open, like she was thinking heavily.

"Of course I'm coming" Lydia said, letting out a giggle sound like Rachael was asking an obvious question.
