Lydia smiled betwixt her pain, anyhow rhey where save. "You hear that Mr Barlow? You're defeated" Lydia spat out regardless if the blood all over her face and the way her mouth was hurting.
Mr Barlow looked shocked and confused. He looked at both of them smiling at him in victory, cuddled together and leaped to the window. He brought down the blind and saw the flood of police cars and police officers. He leaped back to Red and Rachael.
"I'll kill you both first before I die" he returned their smile and Lydia's heart leaped, she was about to think quickly when the speaker sound cut through her brain again.
"Ten!" The speaker counted; "nine!"
The noise of siren could be heard all over the place now.
"It ends here" he pointed his...... at the two scared humans.
"What'll you gain killing us?" Red asked.
"A lot that ya can't think of son" he walked closer, his accent was back.
"Eight!" The speaker voice warned
Mr Barlow smiled at them both and said; "I'll kill you both...."
"Seven!" The speaker voice reminded them.
"...then kill myself..." Mr Barlow continued.
"Six!" The voice persisted.
"...I've overstayed my welcome on earth, it's time I go meet my family" he triggered.
"Five!"
He pointed the gun sharply at Lydia.
"Four!"
He pointed it to Red.
"Three!"
And returned it back at Lydia, shifting his pointed finger at the ignition. He was more than ready.
"Two!"
He aimed.
Boom!
It felt like a dream. Once it was fast and then it was all in slow motion and it became too slow and fast at the same time.
He fell to his knees, looking at his rib cage were the gun had passed through, as his gun fell from his hand. "Sc.........Sc........" He tried talking and Lydia and Red watched as he fell to the floor.
