They all looked around themselves confused.
"Where'd she be?" Jason asked."We're going back for her" Lydia said and turned around. The fear of thinking what might have happened to Rachael, made her tongue stiff.
They went back to the beach shore, where they were all complete. The police officers were still there. Eric stood up from where he squatted and approached them hastily.
"I thought it was made clear that you kids should get back to the white house?" He said pointing at them.
"We're---" Lydia was about explaining but Eric snapped.
"Shut it ponytail. You know you should be in the police custody by now" he retorted.
"I---"
"Get! Back!" Eric ordered.
No one moved.
He sighed; "we're not only trying to find Brian now, we don't even know if he's still alive and we just found a dead body here. Are you all not supposed to be careful and security conscious about the environment by now?" He made a point.
"Officer we can't find Rachael" Jason burst out.
"And who's Rachael?" Eric asked.
"The one in the yellow gown" Jude mused.
Eric thought for a minute then swore; "shit" "okay. Get back to the white house. I'll send a team to search for her" he added.
"But she shouldn't be far, she just got missing not long ago, why can't you go search for her now?" Lydia protested.
"Miss, to, the, white, house" Eric was on his last straw.
Lydia felt irritated by him. Eric's whole extravaganza wasn't disturbing her. She could do whatever she wanted with him and get away with it. But, the idea of Rachael missing.......
Where are you Rachael?
They assembled at the white house. Everyone at the white house knew that Rachael was missing. They had told them. Red started, he was confused; "I don't understand this, she was right with us" he said, walking here and there in the room.
"They'd better find her" Lydia was still scared of her thoughts on the matter. She looked out the window, hoping Rachael would just appear. But, nothing happened. All she could see was the ambulance car blaring a loud siren noise, with some people carrying the dead body at the shore and some police vehicles arriving to the scene. Lydia was fed up. The police men were all standing together at one place discussing instead of looking for Rachael. What could be more important than looking for Rachael? She left the white house.
Red, Jason and Mark followed behind her. Lydia looked for any available police man apart from those discussing only God knew what exactly.
"Erm excuse me" she cleared her throat. "Excuse me" she said louder this time and a short police man turned to face her. "It's been an hour now, any news about Rachael?" She asked him.
"Who's Rachael?" He asked her. Lydia couldn't believe her ears and looked at him surprised before he corrected; "we're still on the lookout" he abruptly said.
"Ok. Thanks" she sighed. "What are we going to do?" She turned asking the three musketeers. They all shrugged in response. "I guess we stay and wait. Hopefully, they'd find her" she also shrugged and they went back to the white house.
