“There’s no hope!” Jaki exclaimed.
“Dude relax,” Steven said. He sat in his chair with his feet on the table. “We have an entire arsenal in here.”
“We’re gonna be fine bro,” I said calmly. Jaki looked at me and then started to relax.
“We’re going to have to leave in here soon though,” Scott said. “I’m starting to get hungry and for some reason I’m smelling cookies.”
“We can worry about food tomorrow,” Babs told him. “Survival is more important.”
We sat quietly on the floor as the minutes went by. The guns were actually a great form of reassurance to me but I still couldn’t shake the feeling of something bad about to happen.
Thani placed the cookie tray on the counter and the girls flocked around it as the aroma tantalized their senses.
“Wow Thani those look really good,” Dana said hungrily. “Seems you’re a natural.” Thani smiled and looked at Rayne who still looked somewhat depressed.
“Have a cookie Rayne,” She stated. Rayne looked at the cookies and then took up one. She took a bite and immediately started to feel better. The cookie warmed her inside and it tasted extraordinary.
“These are really good,” She told her friend.
“Thank you,” Thani responded. The girls then started eating cookies while Ria stared out of the window, gripping her knife tightly. There was a loud clatter from outside and the girls jumped.
“They’re here,” Ria said darkly.
Thani grabbed a frying pan and the other girls grabbed other kitchen utensils. Rayne shook violently as she held a butcher’s knife in her hand. There was a loud thump at the door and them a large swarm of zombies piled in. The girls quickly attacked the oncoming zombies, fending for their lives inside the kitchen.
Bob, D’mitri, Hyo and Lopez ran toward the main building and saw zombies ahead of them.
“I’m out of cocktails!” Hyo exclaimed. Lopez was with him since he never had any to begin with.
“Go on ahead!” Bob said. “We’ll cover you.” Hyo and Lopez ran to the left while Bob and D’mitri warded off the oncoming zombies with more Molotov cocktails.
Hyo and Lopez made it to the foyer and disappeared in the darkness. Bob looked up and saw a group of zombies heading his way. He threw his last cocktail at them but it missed and hit the car behind them. The car exploded sending the zombies in pieces and bits of the car shot across the parking lot. Bob was about to duck when he looked up and saw the top of the car above him. He had no time to dodge and it came down and crushed him. D’mitri stood up to run and another car, next to the first, exploded sending debris at him. He blinked as the car door spun in his direction and decapitated him. His head rolled and joined the heads of previously killed zombies around him.
We heard the explosion and ran outside quickly. We looked around but we didn’t see anything worth fussing about. Steven then saw a creature coming out of the shadows by the canteen. He grabbed his shotgun and fired once, killing it. He then looked carefully at what he did.
“Oh my God!” He exclaimed. “I killed Ria!” He was about to run to the body when Jaki held him back.
“It’s ok… relax,” He said soothingly. “She’s dead now.” I shot him a death glare and he merely smiled innocently. We heard footsteps behind us and turned around in time to see Hyo and Lopez. Lopez looked at the dead body on the floor.
“Whoa, what happened?” He asked.
“Who cares?” Jaki asked him. “Did you guys find the generator?”
“Yes… bad news though,” Hyo said. “The fence is running on a backup generator that Vera has.”
“Dammit!” I exclaimed. “So how do we get out of here?” We stayed quiet for a bit. We then saw a huge swarm of zombies coming our way. I went for my sword. “Crap I left it inside.”
“Me too,” Jaki said. Steven and Babs stepped in front of us with a load of weapons strapped around their bodies.
“We’ll take care of this. You guys run,” Steven told us. Scott then walked next to them and rested his T-square on his shoulder. The two men looked at him and he glanced at them.
“What?” He asked. “It’s effective.”
“Come on guys,” Lopez said. We ran leaving the three men behind an the sound of gunshots muffled by the large mass of zombies swarming them.
We got out to the main parking lot. I looked around and noticed it was only me, Hyo, Jaki and Lopez alive now. All of our friends were dead. It saddened me to think this but I had to keep going. The rain had stated falling and putting out most of the fires caused by the Molotov cocktails. Puddles formed quickly beneath our feet. Lopez looked at us.
“I can try driving through the fence but it could be risky,” He told us. We looked at each other. We’d been taking risks all night and we survived. One more couldn’t hurt.
“Let’s do it,” Hyo responded.
We all hopped into Lopez’s jeep and he sped off from the parking lot and shot straight toward the fence. As we got closer, we could see the water hitting off of it and causing it to spark. The look on Lopez’s face looked almost demented as he showed no signs of stopping. As we got a good distance in front of it, Hyo, Jaki and I opened our doors and jumped out. Lopez’s jeep rammed straight through the fence but the impact sent him flying through the windshield. He never did wear his seatbelt. I landed hard on my arm and I knew it was broken. I stood up and looked for my two remaining friends. I looked around and saw Jaki’s lifeless body with his head cracked open on a rock. Blood and bits of brain oozed out. I turned around and saw Hyo lying on his back with an upright root sticking out of his chest. I lowered my head and then saw the hole in the fence which Lopez’s jeep made. I limped toward it and saw my freedom close at hand. I then stepped in a puddle and felt a sharp tingle through my body. The last thing I saw was part of the fence, inside the same puddle I stepped into, before I fell to the floor, dead.
The End
“That’s a very interesting story Zak…” My teacher told me.
“Thank you ma’am,” I responded politely.
“However, it doesn’t explain why there are WOLVES IN THE CLASSROOM!” She struggled to keep the door closed as the wolves snarled tried to get out.
“Oh right, that…” I said. “Well you see… it started like any other day…”

The rain subsided as the clouds dispersed in the sky. The early light from dawn peaked through the trees shining a dim light over the carnage from the night. Bits and pieces of zombies were scattered over the school's parking lot. Various scorch marks could be seen stretching from the main building to the library. Outside of the armoury, a pile of dead zombies blocked the entrance and told the tale of a great battle. At that point, a muscular arm holding a T-square shot up from beneath the zombie pile.

ParanormalSo yea... this is just a mini-series I'm writing. After watching Zombieland, I figured, "hey, it's about time the vampire stories end and bring in zombies who are by far more comical to watch/ read about", and what better way to bring in the zombie...
