It has been two weeks since Atsushi first visited the small coffee shop near the police station and ever since he really enjoyed going there.
He was able to relax and have some alone time away from the agency.
It's not like he didn't like his job or his friends they are just very chaotic 95% of the time and that can be exhausting.
But this wasn't really the main reason why he kept coming back to the coffee shop.
As stupid as this sounds to him, he actually started to enjoy Akutagawa's company.
They were able to have normal conversations there (Conversations that didn't revolve around killing, bad guys, the mafia, childhood trauma and all of that) almost if they were friends.
Akutagawa wasn't really sure what to think about Atsushi's visits to the coffee shop besides that they annoyed him, he annoyed him.

"Strawberry cake again weretiger?"

The annoyance was very much visible on his face

"I see you're in a bad mood today? Oh how could I forget you're always in a bad mood, anyways yes strawberry cake and a water too"

"It's annoying that you're ordering me around like this"
Akutagawa was glaring at him

"It's your job so not my problem"
He shrugged

Okay maybe their 'normal conversations' were actually just ordering and bickering but Atsushi still enjoyed them.

Atsushi has never been in love, nor did he ever have a crush on anybody which wasn't that surprising considering the circumstances he grew up in. He also never really thought about falling in love but at the moment the boy was happy or at least the happiest he has been so far, he found friends, he has a job and a home so wouldn't it be nice to fall in love?

Akutagawa didn't believe in love mostly because he never received any. Why would anyone want to fall in love anyways? There is more important things than that, he didn't even know what it felt like to be loved so why would he desire it.

Akutagawa didn't really know why he started working at this particular coffee shop but it just felt right. The old woman who owned it was kind to him from the moment they met.
It gave him a feeling of comfort, a feeling that he felt more often lately.

It was 7am on a Thursday and he was on his way to work, he usually would take a different route but he had something to take care of today.
He tried to stay unnoticed just as always because he hated social interactions but soon bumped into no other then Atsushi Nakajima.

They were both laying on the floor

"Why does this keep happening?!"

Akutagawa cursed at himself it could've been anyone but him

"Oh hello to you too grumpy didn't plan to land on the floor today"

Atsushi was looking rather amused and it made Akutagawa want to punch him in the face

"I don't want to talk to you, you're annoying"

"You say that everytime we meet, anyways where are you going?"

"And why would I tell you that, Idiot?"
Akutagawa got up, dusting himself off

"You're right I actually don't care"
Atsushi got up as well, for once he was the one glaring

"Then why did you ask?"

"I don't know, this is stupid"

"You're stupid"

"And you're saying i'm the annoying one"

"Because you are??"

"Gosh I can't stand you"

"Then kneel"
Huh?! At that moment Akutagawa just wanted to shrink into a hole and never come back and Atsushi's reaction wasn't better he was red as a tomato

"Huh?!"
"Anyways I have to go now, i'm not going to waste my time on you"

"You're the one who keeps coming to the coffee shop even though I work there"

"Could you maybe stop attacking me??!"

Atsushi had enough so he turned around and walked away.
Stupid Idiot Stupid Idiot Stupid Idiot

"Are you flustered or what?"

Akutagawa shouted after him

"Could you please shut the fuvk up?!!"

"You didn't say no!!"

What's up with him today???? He would never say something like that and why am I flustered anyways?? Did I just admit that I am??

Akutagawa didn't know what made him say all of that either he was surprised at himself.
And there was this weird feeling in his stomach..
