"Everything would be so much easier if you would talk less"

"Oh really? Aren't you the one complaining about having to work with me 24/7"

"Every second we are spending together makes me hate you more"

"How great that we have at least one thing in common"

Atsushi and Akutagawa were currently walking around somewhere pretty far away from the center of Yokohama, searching for the hotel they are supposed to spend the night in. Some things happend and now they had to work together
Dazai was as usual way to happy about this he was also the one who got them the hotel room

"You better stay away from the Café for at least two weeks after this, being with you for two days is enough torture"

"I surely will"
Atsushi rolled his eyes
"And I told Kyouka that we're friends or something"

"Pff befriending you is the last thing I would do in my life"

"We have even more in common how lovely"

After fighting over where they had to go, asking someone for directions and almost getting lost again they finally arrived at the hotel

"Looks fancier than I expected"

"Why do I have a bad feeling about this"

"Because you're dumb"

They entered the hotel and checked in

"Having to share a room with you just ruined my week"

"Why your week and not your day or night or something"

"Because those were both ruined the moment I saw you this morning"

"I see you're as kind as ever"

Hoping they could finally rest after a long tiring day, Atsushi unlocked to door of the hotel room but their dreams of a peaceful night soon vanished as they realize that there's only one bed in the pretty big room

"I'm gonna kill Dazai for this one"

"Please do"

They both just stood there wishing that maybe somehow this wasn't true

"This isn't that big of a problem i'll just use another room"

"Dumb and doesn't listen"

Akutagawa rolls his eyes

"The woman clearly said that the hotel is full, no more rooms dumbass"

"I hate it here"

"And I hate you tell me something new"

"I'm not going to argue with you, you're the one sleeping on the floor"

"And who gave you the right to decide that"

"You said your week is ruined already so you shouldn't mind sleeping on the floor"

"You're just ruining it more"

They stood there glaring at each other for a bit

"We could honestly just share the bed it's not that big of a deal"

"Oh you wanna be close to me that bad"

"Don't think so high of yourself i'm just tired"

They didn't talk much after that, just got ready and then laid down as far away from each other as possible

Atsushi was really tired and it's true that mostly because of that he's laying next to Akutagawa right now but he just couldn't manage to fall asleep
He stared lifelessly into the dark of the room no stressful thoughts for once his mind was pretty clear

That didn't count for Akutagawa he was overthinking, anxiety was keeping him awake
He was trying to convince himself that he hates Atsushi
well sure he did hate the stupid boy but he also felt something else every time he looks at him
Atsushi's smile made him feel weird
That weird feeling was new to him that's why it made him anxious and the fact that the reason for his anxiety laid right next to him made everything worse

"..Are you awake?"

Akutagawa just hummed as a response

"Why?"

"Because you breath too loud"

"Oh sorry you want me to stop breathing or what"

"Yeah good Idea"

"And here I was thinking we could have some type of deep talk for once"

"I don't have anything 'deep' to tell you"

"Do you like anyone?"

"First of all that is not deep what are we 10? Second of all, if I did, why would I tell you"

"Woah don't need to get defensive there"

"Well do you like anyone?"

There was silence for a few seconds

"Yeah"

"Oh"

"You sound disappointed"

"I do not"

"Yes you do but that doesn't matter so do you like anyone?"

"No"

There was silence again

"Who do you like"

"As if I would tell you that"

"I don't really care anyway, i'm tired good night"

Atsushi turned around so that he was facing Akutagawa's back

"Good Night Aku"
