Elizabeth's Pov.

I woke up in a strange room. There was a guy who had like a million eyes. There were other people on beds; they all looked sick. I sat up only to be hugged.

"Ohmygods! Ohmygods! Ohmygods! I'm soooo glad you're not dead." Gabriella. I hugged her back. It was my way of saying 'me too'. Gabriella got up and started rambling, which she does when she's nervous or excited. "Oh. You have to meet Chiron. Then you have to be shown around camp. Oh and you'll have to be introduced to the draids and such, of course. And, Ohhhh..."

"Gabriella, I think she's had enough rambling. Let's just tell her everything then take her to Chiron," Thalia said calmly. I looked at Gabriella over; she had donkey legs. "Yeah, she's a Satyr. They're half goat. They are like guardians." Right. Goat, not donkey. I turned my attention to Thalia. She was wearing punk clothes and her black hair was just down. "Ok. First off, you've been out for like 4 days. Second off: all the Greek Gods are real. Sometimes they come down from Olympus and have children with mortals. Their children are called demigods. That's what we are: half-bloods. We're at camp half-blood. We're about to take you to meet Chiron. He's a Centaur."

Camp what-now?

I nodded and the next thing I knew, Gabriella was dragging me across the room, even though I was still a little sore. We went to the 'Big House'. We walked on the porch and a Centaur and a guy in a beach shirt were playing Spades. I love that game. The Centaur saw us and put his cards down. The other dude looked at them, trying to act unsuspicious. He spotted me and I looked away innocently with a small smile.

The Centaur walked up to us. "This is her?" he asked.

Thalia nodded. "Yep, this is the girl."

He turned his attention to me. "Hello, I'm Chiron. What have they told you?"

I elbowed Gabriella. "I haven't ever heard Elizabeth talk. She won't say a peep. We told her about how Gods come down from Olympus and such. She knows the basics," Gabriella explained.

Chiron nodded. I brought out a piece of paper and pencil. "Gabriella, Thalia. You may go." They left and Chiron led me inside. "Which one of your parents are mortal?"

Dad. I showed him the paper.

"Ok. Do you know who your mother is?"

Of course not.

"How old are you?"

'13.'

"Mhm. I will give you a schedule and have someone show you to the Hermes' cabin."

We walked out and he called for someone. Two boys with blond hair walked up.

"Hi I'm-"

"Travis and he's-"

"Conner."

I held out my hand and Conner took it and Travis took the other one even though it was by my side. The both shook my arms vigorously which were crossed as they took them.

I waved and wrote, 'Hi, I'm Elizabeth!' Then handed then the paper.

"You don't talk much?" Conner asked. I shook my head. "Well you're going to have to get over it."

They walked toward the Hermes' cabin. While walking, they argued about some prank. I tapped Travis's shoulder. "What?"

'I think you're prank is better.' I showed him the paper. He smiled.

"She thinks my prank is better," Travis said to his twin.

"Why?" Conner asked.

'It won't hurt anyone too much and it'll be hilarious. Yours involves the victim to get seriously hurt.'

He nodded in understanding. We were in the Hermes' cabin and the twins showed me where I'd be sleeping. I nodded and went to sit on it.

I walked out where there was a sound if a conch horn. Conner and Travis walked up behind me and loop our arms together. They lift me off the ground for a moment.

"Here's what we-"

"-think: you could-"

"-help us when-"

"-it comes to-"

"-pranks. Do you-"

"-ever play pranks-"

"-on anyone?"

I nodded.

"Good. We're going-"

"-to be great-"

"-friends. So, the-"

"-conch meant dinner."

"You'll be sitting-"

"-anywhere you

"want but-"

"-we suggest

"you sit"

"-with us:"

"at the Hermes' table."

They dragged me in a type of pavilion. I saw Percy and Thalia; they both looked loney. I had to choose which table to sit at, and luckily it was decided for me. A girl with blond hair and stormy grey eyes say next to Percy; he perked up.

I went in front of Thalia. I waved my arms in front the chair across from her. "No. The seat isn't taken," Thalia said. I sat. She was picking at her food with her head in her other hand. I tapped her hand that was holding her fork. She looked up. I pointed to her and shrugged. "I'm just lonely, that's all." I smiled and pointed to myself. Thalia snorted. "I know I have you now, but you don't talk so we can't carry on a conversion."

I looked around and swapped sides so I was beside her. I leaned to her ear. "Better?" I whispered.

She looked at me. I put my hands up and leaned back. "You're voice."

I shrugged.

"It's incredible."

I was taken aback. I put a thumbs up then a thumbs down.

"Good incredible. Great incredible. Beautiful in fact."

I looked taken aback, I know. I shook my head and continued to eat. Thalia opened her mouth to say more, but Chiron walked us out to the bonfire.

Thalia stood up and held out her hand. "Go to the bonfire with me?" Thalia asked. I thought about it, then nodded. Thalia smiled and I took her hand so she hauled me up.

We walked to the bonfire and sat together. Chiron said the new camper speech. I wasn't really paying attention; I saw a girl by the fire. Wasn't there someone in Greek mythology like that? Oh, I know.

Hestia.

"...so, great gods that have brought us this demigod, please claim Elizabeth."

Nothing happened. At all.

We all sang and such. Hestia looked at me and I winked at her. She smiled and shook her head. I smiled back. After the bonfire, I walked over to her and she had her own fire alight. I tossed some meat and whispered, "For Hestia."

The goddess looked at me in shock and disbelief. "Do you mind that your parent didn't claim you?" she questioned. I shrugged. "Why don't you talk?" she laughed. I shrugged again. "No good reason, I suppose?" I nodded.

I heard twigs snap behind me and turned to see what it was. Travis and Conner were running my way.

"Elizabeth *pant* you need to *pant* get back *pant* to the cabin," Travis panted. I nodded and stood. I turned to say bye, but Hestia was gone. I shrugged and walked back to the cabin.
